I still don't know exactly what the reason was, but it was clear that there was a reason. It wasn't locker room stuff either, he seemed to be well liked.Well, one thing is for sure - Biadasz must not suck to get signed that fast for that kind of money as a center. Goes against the narrative of some just a little.
Scheme fit is a question still - but I’m not sure if it should be. He looked like he moved pretty well to me on film but I haven’t done a really detailed watch of him yet - been busy.
This is an interesting one.letting players like curl go and then not even spending the cap space it cleared… frustrating
There's literally no way that they didn't call every team and see if they could get something for either Biadacz or Lattimore. Keim said that the reason they didn't let Lattimore go was because Peters wanted to talk to the agent at the combine. That to me is probably half true. Sure, Peters wanted to talk to the agent. I think more importantly Peters wanted to talk to every other team about Biadacz and Lattimore, maybe even packaging them for some low round pick. And the best placed to do that is the combine.Standig addressed the could they have gotten a pick for Biadaz drill, he doubts it, assumes he was shopped. You got me if Peters did or not. And lol I know fans love bashing Peters so on twitter this thought has become hot. You never know.
I am just going by the past. It's not easy to get picks for players who aren't young-cheap or stars. They tried to shop Jonathan Allen, got no offers, so released him. Bears apparently the same with T. Edwards. Bills released a good center, etc.
I've been critical of Peters but he's also not incompetent-stupid IMO. If he can get a pick for a player he'd get that pick.
It seems hard to compare Biadasz with Lattimore. The world knew there was a 99% chance we would be cutting Lattimore since probably November. Biadasz was scooped up quickly after release along with meeting a minimum of one other team as that was publicized. I'm not saying they didn't discuss with all the teams but to e it smells a littleThere's literally no way that they didn't call every team and see if they could get something for either Biadacz or Lattimore. There is actually a full Front Office apart from Peters. Phone calls were made. Probably a lot of them. Because every team will do that with just about every player.
Depends on the narrative one wants to believe. Narrative could also be Chargers were desperate--their OL was an absolute sieve. Likewise, people said the same thing about Jon Allen last year, and he was just cut one year after signing a 3-yr. $51m contract--$23m+ of that was guaranteed.Well, one thing is for sure - Biadasz must not suck to get signed that fast for that kind of money as a center. Lattimore was a good CB not too long ago. I don't think anybody would trade for him straight up, but maybe if he was used to sweeten the pot with a Biadacz trade, that's what I was thinking. It seems hard to compare Biadasz with Lattimore. And you literally never know. Some dummy might have offered a 2027 7th round pick for him for some reason. It happens, players who you have no idea why they are traded get traded. And then some that you think will be traded won't.
Which is why you have to ask everybody, probably twice, to do you diligence. If you assume nobody would trade and don't ask, you have made it so there's no chance of a trade.

Hard disagree. Narrative doesn’t matter here. He was wanted.Depends on the narrative one wants to believe. Narrative could also be Chargers were desperate--their OL was an absolute sieve. I agree.Hard disagree. Narrative doesn’t matter here. He was wanted.
He clearly doesn’t stink.
Just like Jon Allen.Hard disagree. Narrative doesn’t matter here. He was wanted.
He clearly doesn’t stink.

I’d bet they have a plan.I agree.
I also don't think it's surprising he was wanted. I'm sure THEY knew he'd be wanted.
They better have a plan to be at least as good at the position, and they better be right. If all of a sudden Center is a glaring weakness, that's a very bad look.

Yes, Jon Allen was wanted. Agreed.Just like Jon Allen.
