The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Why would you say this to me?
Wasn’t your nickname for Bostic John “wrong way” Bostic? And if so, 1) I can’t believe I remember that and 2) that’s still funny.

I have never seen a guy play in the NFL for as long as he did who reads the guards so incorrectly so often.

Conn This is data I've been dying to see as it is not obvious how many AVG types there are out there in the league. There are a bunch of Arizona guys. The guy I've brought up a couple times is Zaven Collins. I've mentioned trading a Day 3 pick for him but he may get cut because he's going to cost the Cardinals $7M and there really isn't a fit for him anymore if the Cardinals implement an even front scheme

(Separately, I think our defensive run game coordinator and defensive pass game coordinator positions seem open. I think Nick Rallis would be an interesting addition to one of those roles. He and Daronte were on the 2020 Vikings defensive staff together)

Supposedly the Giants best corner, Cordale Flott is going to test the market. Anyone know if he's a zone that could fit the scheme?

Doesn’t bode well for him hitting FA I guess

Honestly...I'll take it. Gives me a smidge more info than I had before!

I'd be afraid of Hendrickson. I'd be afraid he'd be getting too old and was in decline.

There was a vocal part of this fanbase that wanted us to trade multiple first round picks for that guy as recently as last off season and it's one of those things that not a lot of people talk about since it wasn't a missed move. He only played in 7 games, while he did have 4 sacks, had we given up what we would have needed to in order to get him, and that season happen here, it would have been absolutely barbecued as a move.

I wonder how much of his injury issues last season resulted from the exact same situation that messed with McLaurin. Both held out for extensions around 30, both had uncharacteristically injured seasons after not participating in anything

very possible, but he clearly did not live up to what it would have taken for teams to trade for him. No matter who did it, it would have been a 'failed' trade had anyone pulled the trigger for what Cincy was demanding.

Wasn’t he out with a core muscle injury? He has not been injury prone over time and that should not be a nagging type injury once he gets past it.

I’d be more worried about cost relative to age, but pass rushers can be very productive into their mid thirties

Signing him could also pay a bonus besides just upgrading our CB, it might also give NY a CB hole to fill and pass on CaleDowns

I have the same thought. But alas I saw a segment from NFL Network where they think Cincy might franchise Trey. Dudes like him rarely hit the market.

It looks like more teams are planning on using their franchise tags on their top FA's than was what initially expected.

With many of them, it's just in hopes of a tag and trade. This sucks as now they cost assets along with the high cap hits. AP will probably be working the phones extra hard to pull off something big
