Again, the Ravens don't have control at this point as they can't franchise him. They can and should offer him $19M-$20M AAV to make him the highest paid center in the league but who knows if they can do that with middle of the pack cap space remaining.

I'm glad the conversation is about free agent centers. Bad Ass looked really good last season, maybe just because he was a stud when compared to our previous center. But he quietly didn't play well last season and I'd welcome an upgrade.

As far as "crash out" in terms of throwing blows like Payne and Kinlaw did? I don't think so. He is a hot head for sure and can be goaded into being a fool and he can sulk if he isn't getting featured to some degree.

But in my opinion he is clearly THE most talented guy in FA, and only 25. One of the most talented WR period.

Sign me up for signing Pickens, Pitts and Hall. The rest if free agency and draft for Defense. To me that would be pretty darn exciting.

I’m sure it would be, but no way in hell any single team signs the top WR, RB, and arguably TE in FA (assuming they all hit FA in the end). And especially not us, the way we’ve spent money under this regime. Pipe dream imo. We’d be lucky to get one of them.
 
I’ve had this nagging concern that this could be an underwhelming offseason for us. Started before the coaching changes, but that plays into it I think. The number of holes and question marks, the missing draft picks, the likelihood (or lack thereof) of landing high quality FAs, the question of whether ownership would even be willing to pay for top shelf talent… feels like Peters has his work cut out for him big time.

I'm concerned the bigger named offensive FA's won't be as high on coming to Washington with Kliff gone and a newbie commodity running the offense. We really need to be able to bring a couple of good FA weapons in this year

Last year, we thought all the free agents were excited to come here because of Daniels and Kliff and the NFCCG. Turns out, maybe our success lured Von Miller, but there wasn't a hug rush of free agents ready to come to Washington. They went where the money was. Honestly, I sometimes wonder if the reason our 2025 FA was worse than our 2024 crop was because some of the free agents came here to ride on Daniels coat tails instead of being super hungry and wanting to fight for every inch.

In 2024, almost every free agent outplayed their contract and their statistical averages. In 2025, I think we saw players either get hurt or underperform.

I don't recall us pushing after many of the higher end FAs. Many of them of course were tagged or resigned opposed to changing teams. I don't recall AP trying to make big splashes although he seemed to have pipe dreams on acquiring players like Mad Maxx, Hendrickson and Tee Higgins. His big move was signing Kinlaw and later Miller

Yeah... the whole, "I just saw what they were building here and wanted to be a part of it" line is usually just a palatable pretext... they went for the biggest payday

Yeah, the question is though was that we didn't hear about AP trying to make big swings because he didn't or because his offers weren't big enough to be entertained. Peters is pretty quiet. I don't think we really get a lot of insider info on who they are targeting and who they fail to get.

I really want Kenny Walker. But I just don’t see how Seattle lets him walk(er).
 
There was 0.00% chance they let him walk after last week. Those numbers are dropping.
