True but I agree with Faithful Fan It takes more than 1 year to build a team but yes, AP is held accountable especially with the draft afterwards in 2025 and this one.

The way I'd summarize Peters is this way IMO.

I don't think he's been a disaster. I think its mostly C plus work, maybe B minus on the aggregate if you go through it transaction by transaction.

But the idea that you can only address a weakness or two in and off season and ride with big holes on your roster which can unravel a season -- DE and WR in 2025 and WR and CB currently for 2026 -- just doesn't show enough urgency for me for a team that is supposedly in a window with a QB under a rookie contract -- and some personnel people said the same about Peters to Standig last off season, it made an article he wrote.

So you think it has nothing to do with him being a WR? Jayden DM'ing Delane saying he hopes they draft him?

NE was a crap roster heading into 2024 just like this team was -- guess what? They bolstered their O line, made a bad defense good, added weapons, they did it all in two off seasons. We are suggesting its asking too much for Peters to do it in three let alone match NE in two.

Denver was saddled with a lack of picks and cap hell from the Russell Wilson trade. They got the O line, weapons, defense. They got it all working.

The Bears ditto albiet they still need to fix their defense but its better than Washington.

It would be like telling my kid, don't worry about the other A students in school. Just get one A this semester. Next semester go get another A. We don't play the lets shoot for A's in multiple course drill like the honor students, that's not our game.

We were just a quarter and a half away from the SB the year before. We can't just mention all of the bad without the good. Maye was straight trash in the playoffs and still almost won the SB due to his defense. Seattle had the best defense in the league. Defense will keep you in every game to allow Jayden to win it. We had a very good offense the year before with a similar roster.

Again, no one is saying F the offense but the defense had twice as far to go, there is still offensive pieces available to help, and adding great players on either side helps your team. I'll leave it to AP to figure out the rest later. Now, give me the guy with the best potential

I like the fact that other offensive players want to play with JD5.... him being well connected and well liked can be a fringe benefit over the long run (assuming his play continues to be good...)

Well, the 2024 and 2025 seasons on FA and drafting. Then add that with the 2026 FA frenzy to date and only having one pick I the first 70

I'd be stunned that Jayden is thinking I really really hope they draft a corner.

This is round 2 with Jayden related to Tate. The other was him liking a Tate instagram post. If he's doing the same for other players its going somehow below the radar

Don't see Charlie Campbell as being a big time insider, but he's right from time to time. None of that conficts with Keim's thoughts -- including that this FO is mixed about Tate -- but no one knows where Peters is in that mix.

  • Washington has had some interesting conversations this week. It sounds like trading down is still the preferred option if a quality deal is offered. If they don’t have a deal worth taking and they are forced to stick-and-pick, sources think they would take either Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate or Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles. Not all of their evaluators are high on Tate, but he would fill an immediate need and provide a long-term weapon for third-year quarterback Jayden Daniels. Hence, some sources think that when push comes to shove, they would go with Tate. However, Styles could easily go ahead of pick seven and further push Washington towards Tate. The team absolutely loves Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, and if he got to pick seven, sources say they would take him. Given the realistic options, sources think Washington will take Tate.

Did say that. I was just responding to your post of 3 drafts since the NFCCG. That's all. AP is gonna do what AP is gonna do. He'd better have the draft of his tenure here so far or his GM door here could be closing soon.

JDs year, last year and this year (which has yet to happen but this conversation is revolving around them going defense at 7).
