  • Yesterday in the Hot Press, we reported how Washington wanted to trade down in the first round, and LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane was a potential target. If the franchise formerly known as the Redskins is forced to stick-and-pick, Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles is a top candidate. Wide receiver is a huge need on the Washington roster, but in speaking with sources, it sounds like they are not in love with any of the top receiver prospects, including Styles’ teammate Carnell Tate. General manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn may decide to get Jayden Daniels a weapon, but it does not sound like Washington is in love with Tate at pick seven.

Who was the user on the other board that was the with former FO staff always leaking stuff?

There was the guy with the poster name LavarLeap (or something like that). Clearly knew what the team was thinking.... however, given that crew, might not be something to brag about LOL

1. Love
2. Tate
3. Downs/Delane
4. Styles
5. Bain

That’s where I am. Been watching Delane and Downs all day and give me either if we don’t get Tate. They are both difference makers.

I don’t want Bailey even if he falls, and honestly, I don’t want Reese if we’re looking at him as a full edge convert.

If Bailey or Reese were to be there, that’s where I am looking to trade out. We will have options.

At least in this defense, Reese shouldn't be a full Edge convert right? There's a role for him as seen in the Vikings defense. Still mostly Edge, but a healthy dose of dropping into coverage. Move him around a bit. Some stunts, some dropping into coverage to hopefully get into the Hot Route throwing lane as the Nickel blitzes. Things like that. If we have a new coaching staff in 2027, then yeah he might be a full time Edge then. But who knows, maybe he'll turn into a Micah Parsons-esque Edge/Blitzer or something. Keep in mind that Arvell Reese is young, he's still just 20, he turns 21 right before the season starts. Micah Parsons was 15 months older than Reese is now as a prospect. Abdul Carter, the closest thing to Parsons as a prospect is 11 months older than Reese is now as a prospect.

Age isn't everything, but if someone is lacking refined moves but clearly oozing natural talent & potential, it is better to be young.
