Finger’s crossed Dallas doesn’t trade up with Cleveland to ruin our plans for Styles. Bad enough the Giants are at 5. I’m still thinking its a Tate vs Delane decision at 7.
 
McShay has moved from thinking Tate top 5, to not top 5. To this team likely taking Tate, to not sure, to now saying Tate not to Washington and the ceiling starts at 8 for him.

That's the most all over the place player for him.

As to those saying its all BS. Some of it clearly is BS, some of it true. Hard to tell the true from the false of course, McShay joked about it yesterday on Eisen, which is give him an hour and someone will contradict something that was said previously.

I watched that show earlier this morning. They hit on the top DB's. Cosell is a really good listen.
Makes me appreciate guys like Ponds and Terrell even more than I did as well as of course Thieneman!

I watched it too. Though surpised he wasn't sure if Thieneman was a post safety.
 
When Daniels played, he sometimes showed the skills that had set the league on fire the year before, throwing eight touchdowns for 1,262 yards and three interceptions, while rushing for 278 yards.

But much of the time, he was under attack, his ability severely hampered by injuries to his skill position players — average when healthy — and a defense that often left him handcuffed.

Playing with receivers that were sometimes picked off the street, Daniels often found himself in poor field position and playing from behind. The Commanders ranked 25th in the league in starting field position, while their opponents were fourth throughout the season.

Their defense was ranked 27th, with a league-worst minus-14 turnover margin.

Peters tried to level the playing field for Daniels by using free agency, signing seven defensive players, including a $100 million deal for edge rusher Odafe Oweh. But offensively, the spending spree — the Commanders had $90 million in available cap space, sixth in the NFL — was limited to tight end Chig Okonkwo and two backup running backs, Rachaad White and Jerome Ford.

The No. 7 pick in this year’s draft gives Peters a chance to draft an impact offensive player and significantly fill the need of helping his young quarterback, because, as his boss has said, “Times a-wasting.”

Schrager added some context that I haven’t seen to his Makai Lemon prediction (might have missed it)

He added, pretty clearly… it’s Tate. If Tate is gone, don’t be surprised if it’s Lemon. It wasn’t Lemon over Tate

I get that, it's an unknown for Thieneman. His usage was much more in the Caleb Downs style. He did do more 2 High than Downs I believe though.

But say, when Ohio State went to 3 safeties, Downs was the shallow middle safety or deep LB in that scheme. When Oregon did the same, Thieneman was also in that spot.

I think Thieneman was given more opportunities nearer the LoS because his read/react + athleticism meant he was around the ball all the time. Like he's in on so many tackle attempts.

That is true for Thienemans last year at Oregon, but he Thienemans played a lot of deep safety at Purdue
 
The most recent Jeremy Green appearance on Take Command was pretty fascinating. Some different takes compared to this forum.
Among other things, doesn’t love Tate for us, but the Jets love him. Jeremy loves Faulk and thinks we should take him at 16 after trading back with the Jets, then Mike Washington at 44. Wild. Talk about a board meltdown if that happened, lol. Thinks there will be good receivers at 71, but that corners drop off in the 2nd.
