I’m starting to think that Delane might go before us. I’d love it if that pushed Love to us. Are the giants really better off taking a LB, safety, RB, or WR2 over a shit down corner? They definitely have needs I. The secondary. I could also see Delane going to Cleveland, which wouldn’t help us as much.

I just rewatched him. Good enough seperator IMO.

Corner routes, slants, comebacks, digs, he's good at selling them, and gets enough seperation. Go routes-post routes, his double moves I wish were sharper but it works for him in college because he just needs a step on the defender and he will end up with the ball.

He has deceptively good long speed to my eyes. He's not twitchy. Reminds me of a rich man's Noah Brown. That is, I trust Boston more on the 2nd and 3rd level than the first. He has built up speed -- sort of the opppsite of Jordan Tyson. Tyson is so twitchy with quick feet in short space which isn't Boston's gig.

I mention here and there that Lemon is a baller. So is Boston, he plays with a lot of energy and oomph.

And he's no stiff athlete

 
Might sound a bit boring this, but the draft will make pretty good viewing this year through the top of the first round.

Big time. Lots of uncertainty. Could see some shocking picks.

Going to be very boring sitting through the first half of day 2 wishing we had a pick

Only way I see us getting Boston is trading down in the 1st.

Yep sure is on day two, only a trade back sorts that out, however I’ve drifted back around to the view that we should more than likely stick at #7 and pick an instant high end starter that is going to be available there.
 
Boston and Fields are similar as players, but Boston is the bigger threat. Where Fields is capable of making a play, Boston is accustomed to making plays. He’s a good athlete with sticky hands. I think he has higher upside than Lemon or Tate, but higher downside.

Tyson has the highest upside and the lowest downside.

And especially for this team where the receipe against this offense last year was to shut it down by playing man and blitzing the heck out of Jayden -- having a dude who is special against man, isn't yawn to me. Ditto dudes who are special run blockers. Good in the red zone. Can return both punts and kicks.

Personally, I don't put a lot of stock in Logan's analysis. A little, I certainly enjoy his explanations, but his takeaways require salt for me. And you couldn't find many opinions I care less about than Simms. Logan is actually putting in work and earnestly giving his thoughts, but Simms isn't much more than a tabloid IMO.

More to the point, here's one that shows man vs zone correlation at the next level.



This is just an awesome overview of the current WR prospects.

It looks like this account is just getting started on analyzing prospects for the draft, usually there are a lot more charts about WRs but so far, fairly light. I'll post more as I see them.

I just watched Boston and Fields back to back. IMO Boston is better by a clear peg IMO -- better seperator, better contested catcher, better blocker. They remind me of each other vertically at times when they stretch the field. But going through their reps, every game which I can do on one site -- I get why Fields single-seperation skils from PFF is so poor, he has guys on top of him a lot. Boston not as much so.

Fields, as I mentioned in another post, I'd be cool rolling the dice on him in the third there are other WRs I prefer -- but to me he has some boom-bust. I don't think Boston is boom-bust -- I think worst case he's a healthier and better version of Noah Brown. Fields has enough upside for me to roll the dice on in third -- not a ton of downside with him, to me worse case with him is he is Noah Brown. But I am more intrigued with other WRs in that range.
 
It sure seems like there are going to be a lot of the good WR's going in the 2nd round

thanks for sharing the data. I show someone's twitter response to the data as to zone versus man discussion -- agree if you can just run by dudes. But lol does that apply to Boston? And clearly you aren't moved by the idea that its different for an X boundry WR as to importance of man versus zone versus it all being the same no matter where you line up. So we are on different pages as to the premise of the actual debate.

I’m not moved by it because most of the guys in that earlier chart I posted are boundary receivers. And the most successful one despite the poor figure, was BTJ who can indeed run by guys at pro level.

I’m not sure I fully understand your comment though.
