Yeah the Titans and Cards need to address OL.....😁
Was watching Grant and Danny on youtube talk about the Field Yates mock and was kinda the worst case scenario if you wanted defense, all the big names went 2-5 then Tate at 6 and we took Love at 7.
Danny was saying he'd prefer to pick Love as a choice not be forced into it but I'm kinda the opposite. I'd kinda prefer to he forced into picking Love bc he's so definitively the BPA, versus choosing him over someone of equal skill. Because he is not winning out over Reese/Bailey. Styles/Downs, they are similarly "low value" positions, but even there, its so easy these days to cobble together a B+ or A level rushing attack from late round picks and free agents that I would be hard pressed to pick RB over ILB or safety, especially when you consider how poorly our defense has performed over the last few years.
Only player I would say Love stands above far enough to win over outright is probably Tate, but I am more optimistic on Tate than some. He's got Low #1/high #2 potential.
So I've prefer to be pushed into a Love vs. Bain or Love vs. Mansoor debate than Love vs any of those 5, because I think Love loses that debate.
Sheehan is big on pushing Tate > Love if that is a choice. At a minimum I don't think its a no brainer purely because of the rising costs of WRs and hoiw so few now hit the market.
Tate both addresses the team's biggest weakness IMO and hits a premium position. But...
IMO Love is elite and Tate isn't (though I think Tate is very good). But the larger point for me is Love helps the passing game. I think he's biggest super power is his play as a receiver.
They met with Tate at the combine and Blough as at today's proday so clearly this team has some interest in Tate.
I was thinking that it wouldn’t be crazy if Love produced 1/2 or 2/3 of the receiving yards that Tate does over his career.
I think what’s going totally overlooked is some of the guys in our pick range are probably going to outright bust or at least seriously disappoint. I’m listening to Grant and Danny right now and they’re saying, I like them all and we’re debating between super models. We’ll throw a party no matter who we end up with.
Which I’m sorry, that’s not how things typically play out AND this is widely considered a weak draft. I feel like there are active landmines just waiting to blow up in the top 10. In our range. And I read this thread everyday and it’s mostly the same. The only guy I see take consistent flak is Tyson for being injured and Bain for being a T-Rex, and there’s always a ton of pushback on Bain.
Don’t you guys think some of them are going to bust?
I think Bain is going to be a bust personally. Tate won’t be a bust but my argument on him is that he isn’t worthy of the 7th overall pick. I think he will be a very good if not great WR2. But yall know that already. I like Bailey but there’s something off about him and I have nothing to back up that argument. Styles is the biggest boom/bust potential. If he hits, he is going to be a defensive MVP candidate throughout his career.I think what’s going totally overlooked is some of the guys in our pick range are probably going to outright bust or at least seriously disappoint. In my opinion I think Downs and Love are the most sure things.

In fairness there has also been health concerns brought up with Downs and we have avoided talking QBs and OL for the most part. Some of those guys are highly sought after but have dings.I think what’s going totally overlooked is some of the guys in our pick range are probably going to outright bust or at least seriously disappoint.
