Exactly, somebody has to be wrong, somebody has to be right, but we're talking about the Jets, Titans, Cardinals, Giants and Browns, all of whom have made dumb decision after dumb decision the past decade + and we have a guy who is supposed to be a great GM. Hopefully he is exactly that and proves it this draft.
We just need a team or two to do a Penix or a Ruggs top 5 pick and it's like we move up a spot or 2. These teams make dumb decisions all the time, just like Ron Rivera. Who expects any of them to make good decisions during this draft?
Why aren't the Titans linked to WRs? lol, it was a discussion on McShay's podcast and that's is they got enough WRs after signing Wandale. They got their trio: Wandale, Ridley, and Ayomanor. Alas, we got just one legit starting WR. They have 3.

I suspect the Browns favor O line over Tate but will see, Giants rumors seem to be Love or Styles or Tate or Downs -- they have most links to players ahead of Washington where they feel like the biggest wildcard,

For me this time of the year is torture, FA mostly done, now just dead space waiting over a month for the draft and looking for clues that are probably worthless but lol I cling to some hope with it anyway.
With that in mind, heck I've heard now twice, once from a Titans reporter that they really really want a pass rusher, especially if Bailey falls to them and think they can go in that direction over Love possibly.
Giants are a hard call but I can see the Ravens parallels of them going Styles or Downs over Love.
I don't think there is any chance the Browns are going RB after drafting two high last year.
Seems like the best shot at it is for Bailey to fall to 4 and Styles to 5.

I'm not sure if I'm in on Love- in college, he ran past everyone. I didn't see him break tackles and he's pretty slight for a 3 down back. I'm really curious as to how he does when defenders are larger and much faster.

I really wrestle with the notion of WR versus Love. The economics of it just make me hope they end up with a premium position, but it’s more crucial to me they give 5 some weapons. There’s a huge fun factor connected to Love and it’s still supporting Jayden. Part of me wants to see that. Just give me Love or one of the top three WRs and I’ll be good with it.

I think it really comes to great vs. good if we have the choice.
If a player at a more premium position and one of need is a B+ and the player at a less premium position or position of need is an A= then I think you take the B+. If, however, the premium position of need is a B+ but the lesser premium position is an A or A+ then I lean towards the A because even though it's a lesser position an A+ will have a greater effect. They tend to be game changers. A Lawrence Taylor is worth more than a Stefon Diggs (who PFF called the seventh best receiver last year.) Now, being right about what whether your A+ player is actually an A+ player (this is, whether your projection is right and they are a unique generational game changing talent) is harder because quite a few can't miss players have missed. See Chase Young. See Desmond Howard. etc.
Still, I think the point remains. You if the difference in ratings is close then take the lesser player if they play a more premium player or a player at an area of need. If the discrepancy between their potential is larger than going for the lesser the position is wise. This also seems to be a bizzaro draft where the unheralded positions are the glamour players.

My sense of Tate is that he is a B who could elevate his game to a B+. I think that's generally where I put McLaurin so that's a very useful player to have. It sounds like Styles and Love are A's who might be able to elevate their games to an A+. Conversely, because he seems to lack elite physical traits, I think Downs is probably a B who can because of study and understanding of the game raise his level to play like a A-.
