agreed. Downs, Love, Styles is my order but I’d be very happy with any of the three

Good chance we are indeed shut out from the edge rushers… MUST get that handled in free agency
 
We need to hope that the OL overperform at the combine and somehow have 1-2 taken before our pick.

That said, any of Reese, Bailey, Tate, Downs or Styles would be OK in my books.
 
If Downs, Love, and Styles are still there...that's not half bad either.

I think Love is the selection if we just want to add the best pure talent. However...Styles, in the NFL Draft literature presented to those attending, supposedly had a top GPS speed of 23.5mph...that's utterly insane if it's not a typo. Funnily all three of those guys have reduced position premiums, they're roughly in the same tier premium wise. So after that it's just medicals/intangibles/scheme etc.

I like Syles a lot but to take him at 7, I'd need something elite level combine wise from him, and its certainly possible will see.
 
5th pick?? My recollection was that only 6th pick was on the table. I thought beating Philly only lost us the 6th pick, not the 5th pick.
Maybe I am forgetting something? (AI confirmed my memory, but that's worth little)

I see, I didn't remember NYG having such a high SOS.
Wow, I had that memory wrong, that totally sucks. #5 would have been much better.
I guess right now I will still hang my hat on feeling we contributed to the Eagles being bounced out of the playoffs. I can't be totally mad at that, such is my dislike for the Eagles these days. But man, 2 spots can be really expensive, especially with the all-knowing, all-powerful Harbaugh at the helm of NYG (according to media). All Hail the mighty Harbaugh.

The only real positive I can take from the Eagles game is that Sonny got to see one last Washington victory before riding off into the sunset.
 
I mean if they had not been out-tanked by the Raiders and ran into the totally given up Cowboys, then they would still be picking 1st and we wouldn't be able to pick as high as 5th either.

At this point it's over, done with, no point in looking back. We can't get the toothpaste back into the tube and if we did then other teams could too.
