The 2026 Draft Thread - 1st Round - 7th overall

Sometimes Bain can be blocked handily by TE's, but not when they're lined up in-line like that, especially when they're that small. Like 6'1, 235? Bain shucked him aside like it was nothing.

I'd be getting the ball into Toney's hands on every play

A lot of players in this game going to the NFL

Sorry, KDawg, hell of a season and hell of a game.
They’re going to have a tough time getting back there next year. If they wind up with Mensah and Seaton their offense is going to be so much better. But losing Bain, Mesidor and their LB corps is going to make winning tough.

Indiana will probably be right back there again.

But that’s why they play the games. It’s been tough being a Miami fan for the last 20 years… same with being a Washington fan. And both teams in back to back years toy with my emotions.

Oh well.

Bain for president.

Indiana is the National Champion. Crazy.

Miami is back though, they're bringing back some very good players too. They'll need to upgrade QB (I have no idea who is behind Beck, but he's awful.)

same with being a Washington fan.
It's better than being a Jets fan.

I was initially against the NIL money and the portal, but I love the wider parity. It's been a fun season.

For funsies I decided to check NFL subreddits after this game to see what the draft reaction was.
  1. Raiders - QB - Mendoza
  2. Jets - Edge - Bain
  3. Cardinals - Edge - (also...) Bain
  4. Titans - no draft insight, they're in full meltdown over what's apparently been a catastrophe of a head coach search
  5. Giants - WR or OT, argument about whom but WR seems to be leading desire
  6. Browns (two 1sts)- OT or WR, Downs seems to be the only defensive player mentioned. OT seems to be leading desire.
If we take the above as likely odds of who is guaranteed to go before our pick:
  • 1 QB - Mendoza
  • 1 OT - ?
  • 1 WR - ?
  • 1 Edge - Bain
That in theory leaves us (if the subreddits are any indication) with possible picks of Reese, Bailey, or Love. With one of those three guaranteed in this weird "for fun" scenario being available. That looks pretty good to me, I think all three of those guys are blue chip talents.

Edit: HA! Right after I saw that, the Titans suddenly have a head coach.
