Tyson seems like a guy who could really slide if that scout's take is shared to any extent by others around the league. Injury-prone AND soft? Yikes.

To not include Daniels as a blue chipper is insane. Is Nabers blue chip? Has the same career so far: great rookie year, injured 2nd year.

That's fine. I didn't take the point as about JD, its about the lack of blue chippers on this team and that's something to factor when drafting.

I was stoked about Sean. Was lukewarm on Landry and then he went full David Boston lol.

Sean Taylor was a perfect fit here, a hard hitter for Williams’ aggressive defense, friends with Portis and Moss, and a truly gifted athlete. Most of us were happy with that pick. He ended up being better than we hoped, really one of the best football players I ever saw. I truly believe he would have been a Hall of Famer.

Landry was horrible. We really should have kept Ryan Clark.

Honestly we haven’t had a great safety since then, maybe some good ones like Curl, but for the most part we’ve been looking for a safety for twenty years. I can sort of see taking Downs for this reason.

A lot of people during that draft wanted Kellen Winslow on ES. Man what a disaster that guy was.

Part of the appeal of Kellen Winslow was that his dad was a Hall of Famer, but yeah, Winslow II was a disappointment and a PR nightmare. Though he did have several highly productive years if we’re being honest.

Anyway we ended up with Sean Taylor and Chris Cooley that year, and we loved those guys.

Feels like the McCoy shot back up the board might have been short lived.

As far as Tyson goes. I like him, don't love him. But if he falls into the late first as some say he might, and they trade down that far which I hope they don't do, I can see it.

His injury situation though different than McCoy. With McCoy the idea was has he overcome his ACL injury?

The thing with Tyson as far as injuries go is that he's chronically injured, its not that its some one off. Of course at some point, he will have healed from his hamstring injury -- but that doesn't seem to be the hang up with him.

Yea and I was going to say that McCoys may be short lived because no matter how good his workout was, we still haven't seen him play since. Tyson came back to ball out after his acl and collarbone. Hopefully he gets it together like Steph did with his ankles

No idea if this is true, but Im choosing to believe that we are the only team that has such a large group come in together, and it becomes "a thing" that rookies hope to get invited to. Something that can be a calling card that sets us apart.

No matter what, I have a feeling that they are going to all come away liking Washington. That's one good thing that I can say about the organization now. They always seem to impress the players

I see the value in the Top Golf event for the team. But it isn’t free agency it’s the draft, impressing the players is of no consequence.

Seems like when you take the 2026 NFL topgolf class that AP and DQ gathered together and what they are looking for in a personality, competitiveness, and interpersonal skills and where we pick, Downs is the pick. I was high on him and wouldn't be upset with him at #7 but it'd sure be nice to come away with Love or Styles. I'm still not sold on Tate like many others are in the top 7 let alone top 10. Over the last 20 years about 6 WR in the top 10 picks have gone onto have a good to excellent career.
