Gracias, adios, y vaya con Dios señor

That is more correct and he deserves the respect

Chris

Ertz has been a solid contributor for us and one of the best tight ends in NFL history. He is currently 5th all-time in receptions by a tight end. His 116 catches in 2018 is an Eagles receiving record and the most by any tight end in league history. He made 3 Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl. If this is the end of his career, then he can take pride that it was a great one.

Big ups to Ertz for what he did here. Huge part of last year. It totally sucks to see his career end that way, but it’s “Vince Carter” over.

Silver lining is the temptation to bring him back has been removed.

That and this gives us a clear window into Sinnott's future. If he can't capitalize on this to at least show some promise these next 4 games, he's a cut candidate for me in camp

Excellent point. He was already a cut candidate for me if we sign Likely but yeah, we get a real look. Put up or shut up.

Watching Ertz visibly sobbing on the cart was gut wrenching. Video is on X. Hope he recovers.

Clearly he loves the game and wants to keep playing, and he was still playing well enough to keep the young guys off the field, but he knows this is probably the end. Even if he could come back, few teams will want a 36-year old coming off a major surgery. I think that’s the reason for the emotion, he always had a huge heart for football.

My wife was looking to buy an Ertz jersey last week. She’s really enjoyed watching him play.

I much as I hated him as an Eagle I have loved him as a Commanding-Skin. Was a major part of the most fun season I have had since 1991 and a just a straight up real football player. Forever a fan of that guy now. Hate seeing his run with us end like this.

For the Commanders and Jayden, he had an epic 2024. He was his go to security blanket.

I agree totally on your Sinnott comments. I'd say we can add in Yankoff to some degree as he has received a bit of play time recently as well
