What is your score prediction and what are the primary factors involved that led you to it?

Washington 34-21. The Titans shocked the Texans last weekend and Will Levis has been making some plays, but the Titans make a lot of mistakes. They are among the most penalized in the league, their HC, OC, and DC are ALL in their first NFL seasons at those positions. And they, incredibly, have the 2nd ranked defense in 2024 based on yards allowed.

I think the key is shutting down or at least limiting Pollard, and we have got to do better on 3rd down in this one to sustain drives so our defense doesn't have to play 2/3rds of the game. Quinn and Kingsbury need to open things up and play with some daring, let JD use his feet, and take some chances. If we do most of those things we win.

The Titans have only scored more than 20 points twice all year. If we can hang 30 on them, I think it will be very tough for them to pull off a road upset.

I am mainly concerned about the running game this week, both with the ability to effectively run the ball or to at least provide a credible threat to run the ball.

It looks like BRob will play but he will not be close to 100% imo. If this game was not vital I doubt he would play. And although McNichols has been a pleasant surprise, and CRod has shown flashes in his brief opportunities, neither keep opposing DCs up at night. Fold in the loss of Ekeler, who has been a considerable contributor and a focal point of the offensive scheme, and you have the real chance that the result will primarily be on the shoulders of the passing game.

Can the receivers receive better than they have lately? Can the oline protect the QB better than they have lately?

They had better.

I said in the pod last night, I don't think BRob is right. I'm not sure I'm a fan of continuing to throw him out there when he's not. I don't really understand why they aren't giving McNichols more carries but hey, what the hell do I know?

WAS 17-14

I feel like this game will be closer and uglier than we'd like.

The O may struggle with BRob hobbled, Ekeler out, and still no reliable WRs outside of McLaurin. But i think the D, partucularly the pass-rush, feasts with Fowler leading the way.

Was just about to post the same thing. BRob hasn’t ran the same or anywhere close to it since the beginning of the season. Doesn’t have the quickness or power he showed. Also agree that McNichols when he has been given a chance has shined. But also as you stated, what the hell do I know..

Still a little unsettled by what happened last week. Have to believe the boys put an end to this 3 game slide.

I think Daniels and Robinson both have strong showings.

Washington - 31
Titans - 17

I think Brob is Kliff’s binky. I have a 5 year old whose favorite stuffed animal is Frank the Dinosaur.

If we ever forget to bring Frank with us, my son has no idea what to do. He just kindof goes blank and melts down.

I think Kliff is the same with BRob. If he’s not there, Kliff panics a bit and reaches to figure out how to make up for the yardage.

I also think McNicjols is a good change of pace back, CRod is somewhere between ok and good, and not a feature back. At least not yet.

So, if Robinson is out, it puts a significant crimp in their plans.

As for this game, I hope to hell they just out the game in Daniels hands. Don’t do the Scott Turner thing of trying run into a brick wall 20-30 times a game for 40-60 yards.

Open up the offense and let Daniels go. And then run off of that. Stay balanced but don’t force it.

I think Washington wins 20-13.

Zane kicks the game winner as the scoreboard shows 0. I look for more frustration on Offense and gutsy play on defense.

I won’t root for Luke and Sinnott to get major roles until we see it. Once.

If you are posting a very specific prediction, you might wanna wander over to the 'Keys to a Victory Contest' thread and post it there - you might win something cool :)

I will continue to hope for both to be involved more but, at this point, I’m no longer expecting it.

I think a lot of us bought into the 'hidden gems' aspect of those 2 picks and as a result expected them to be big parts of the Kingsbury offense as the season went on. That hasn't happened. Doesn't mean they won't be good players, and possibly even stars down the road. There's just not much evidence of it yet.
