I like BRob but RBs typically have short shelf life’s and he’s already had some struggles staying in the field. Despite that I’d be surprised if they don’t both sign him to an extension AND draft one.

Good to see you again Martin. This is what I've been say, and I had no idea my comment would kick off such a lengthy discussion. Let him play out the contract but don't offer a 2nd deal for what it would cost. RBs are just so easy to find today and their value is not what it used to be. I loved the Eckler signing, still do. But yeah at this point he can't be counted on.

Why are you assuming he'll be expensive?

As you said running backs are easy to find and the agents as well as the gm's all know this and salary's have reflected that.

If peters feels he fits the team well and we can get him on a league average contract commensurate with his skills I see no reason not to bring him back with another good running back to pair him with.
Continuity is important too.
