The world is waiting to hear your ‘truths’ on last nights game. Let ‘er rip.

Please stay on topic this week, as hard as that seems to be for some of you.

I don’t know if putting on the extra weight was a good idea for JD5. He looks slower than last year and may be taking more hits because of it. I kind was thinking it last week, but it was really noticeable to me tonight.

Truth is offense looks terrible. JD5 looks nothing like last year. Something looks wrong. Giants game chalked up to rust but now not sure. Defense looks average. Lattimore still sucks. Kicker still sucks. Now we have injuries too💩 Very concerned about the offense and wasn’t worried coming into the year. Hopefully they can turn it around but it looks bad so far. Keep telling myself the 1st month of the season is wacky but things don’t look right something is off.

People will say enough bad things about the defense, and they are a problem. DL pass rush actually impressed me, but game situation never allowed it to matter. But my main take is that the defense isn’t good but it looks 10x worse because the offense failed them and abandoned them. Anything works for the opponent when you’re exhausted and playing from behind. The defense stunk, but in a manageable way if the offense had done their jobs. O was MIA for most of the game, but most important for the entire first half.

Execution was no bueno, but I’m going to harp on the coaching.

Kliff needs to rebuild his game plans around running the ball, utilizing Jayden’s mobility, play-action on early downs. Protect our defense, long tiring drives for the opponents’ defenses. Let Jayden play ahead of the sticks and not in poor down/distance situations. Get aggressive on 4th down again. Cut the bubble screens, but keep Deebo moving sideways before the snap. Attack down the seams (especially off PA). Put on your big boy pants and go bully someone, please. Re-establish the fear of Jayden’s legs off the RPO to open things up for the RB’s. I want Jayden to be smart when he pulls the ball and calls his own number, but at the same time, Bill should be having the 2012 Alfred Morris experience against opposing defenses. Nobody fears whatever the fuck Kliff is trying to do right now.

At this point I need some sleep, but before I go. The offense has not looked good yet this season. I believe 100% the lack of any meaningful pre-season reps has set them back. Team chemistry seems off and I’m going to point the finger at the McLaurin hold out as the big reason for now.

I expect we see an improved team against the Raiders, but we are not a Super Bowl contender as things stand today. They have a lot of work to do to even get back in the playoffs.

It is hard to believe that DQ and company looked beyond the Giants some to this week 2 match up. The team appeared Ill prepared out coached and unable to make adjustments. Within a few offensive and defensive plays it was evident that the game plan they entered the game with missed their marks. Hell in the game threads here many adjustments were announced and most felt blatantly obvious, how did the pros miss them?

Roster weaknesses were also exposed or exploited by the Packers. We need to get younger, quicker and more talented. I hate trading away draft picks, good drafting is the best way to move in the right direction but we are in a hole due to Ron and Danny. It is true Deebo and Tunsil trades are paying off so far even though they cost picks. The Lattimore trade was a miss, the opponents are actually targeting him as a weak link.

The loss is on the coaches

Thursday night games are weird. I don’t actually know how much of this was actually a reflection of our team. I will say that I agreed with the announcers towards the end of the game- Kliff should have been stressing tempo for our offense against this pass rush.

They've now got 10 whole days to figure it the hell out. If the offense looks the same way against LV, we are in serious trouble.

I was accustomed to seeing this franchise be uncompetitive. Just not this version. Can’t blame this one on turnovers.

Still plenty of time to prove me wrong, but I'm thinking Daniels got that dreaded sophomore slump.
Yeah it sucks to think it but so far he doesn't look anything like he did last year.
Way slower to the edge and his accuracy is abysmal compared to even this time last year when he should have been rusty as well.

Out talented and out coached.

Having to rely on over the hill vets because they lack the draft capital to rebuild the team properly contributes to that.
I mean, Ertz was their best receiver last night and he looks like he's wearing cement shoes out there.
Kliff wants a run game as just an ad lib thought to get back to passing. Bill was rookie of the week last Sunday and he only gets 4-5 carries tonight?
Kliff pickup Bieniemy's playbook on the way to the field last night?

And btw, I caught alot of flak here last year for preaching caution about bringing out the oils and annointing #5 as a true franchise Qb when he didn't even have a whole season under his belt. He looks indecisive and like his confidence has been shaken.
This is part of the journey in development and I hope he makes it out the other side and becomes a franchise Qb.

You guys can scoff ,laugh, get mad at this notion all you want but I've seen enough Qbs flash and flameout around here to last a lifetime.
Dan Quinn the other day was asked about sophmore slumps and teams having film to figure 5 out. His response was that it would not happen with 5 and that teams really can't game plan for him. Famous last words.

Green Bay sure had a plan.

I caught a lot of flak last week for mentioning that i could do without the happy go lucky attitude after bad plays.

He keeps playing like he has so far and the mob will turn on him pretty quick if he doesn't act as pissed as they are by it, but i suspect he'll shake off this rust, its early and it was a really tough Thursday night road game 5 days into the season.

On a positive note, if he can stil get me 32 fantasy points playing like garbage just think what he'll do if he regains his form from last year. 😁

We just got plain beat. We looked like the team that showed up in the preseason. There's time to turn it around, but we were just bad.

The only positive might have been our run defense.

Green Bays defense is very well coached, scheme wise looked good, D line contained the edges exceptionally well and the backs were draped over our receivers. Our O line looked horrendous at times.

Conversely we had trouble getting to Love, especially early. They had receivers open all day, their TE Kraft was open by a large margin constantly...and when he caught the ball he punished people. Kind of how I envisioned Sinnott would be.

Matt Gay will eventually cost us a game. Even this game the field position given up after a missed FG should not be ignored, changes game dynamics dramatically.

Truth: football has always been a game won and lost up front in the trenches and last night we got taken out to the woodshed in that department by GB.

Truth: while this team currently does not yet possess last season’s magic, and while we have played poorly overall, at the very least, we won the more important matchup of the first two weeks with the division win over NYG. Over the course of a long season, division play is always going to determine your playoff fate. We need at the very least 4 wins in the East and we stepped in the right direction in week 1 at least.

Truth: anything less than a copy of the Jayden from last year was always going to result in a regression back somewhere towards the mean for this franchise this year. Over 60 percent of the roster had been overturned at the start of last year and we were all anticipating some growing pains for a few years. Compound that with some aging players at key spots and this is what you will get without elite QB play to mask it.

Yeah, we had good starting field posisiton so many times and just couldn't do anything. In some replays, I thought I saw some receivers open, but Daniels couldn't find them. The oline survived the Giants nasty D Line. They folded too often against the Pack. I can't even be mad at the refs though there were a few times I thought that in today's NFL Greenbay should have been flagged for roughing the QB. They certainly hit Daniels after the throw and completed the tackle often enough after the play was whistled dead.

This was a buzz saw. I hated this game the second the schedule came out. I thought they played better in the second half on both sides of the ball, but it would been literally impossible to play worse. I am not overreacting to this--we played like utter shit, but I firmly believe in this staff to right the ship. I am not sure there is much we can glean out of this game--very good opponent, short week. This was a near no-win. We were totally unprepared for anything the Packers had, learn from it, move on. Injuries to Ekler, Wise, and Bates are the bigger concerns.

Remember, the Eagles last year started 2-2, got blown out by the Bucs, and won a close game over the terrible Saints. Not saying that's going to be us, but it's a reference. Jayden threw 0 TDs through 2 games last year...so progress?

If last year is any indication, they'll hang 30 on the Raiders. But if they struggle against them, I'll start to worry

I don't know if my heart can withstand a Geno Smith beatdown, so they better hang 30 on them.
