Taylor Heinicke Discussion

I know you would, sweety. It's ok. We all know you're genuine.

I'm only "abusive" because all you do is talk shit to people I've known for well over a decade and disrespect a site many here have worked extremely hard to build.

You offer nothing, you don't do anything but troll, and you won't stop. I hope one day you'll actually understand what I just wrote instead of read and ignore it.

I'm not talking shit. I'm disagreeing with them.

It's not my fault you can't tell the difference.

Uh huh. Everyone is wrong but you. It's ok. You're digging your own grave here. I'm just here to kick the dirt on your face once you've buried yourself.

True online personalities don’t change with time. Ones true personality is simply exposed and revealed with time.

And I’m sorry if my views offend you. (Just kidding, exactly like you were.)

I have talked some shit in the past. I admit, I'm not perfect.

But I'm not talking shit right now.

In your opinion.

The rest of us might not agree with that view.

I don’t necessarily disagree with most of your points. I really, truly don’t.

What I don’t appreciate is that you can’t seem to make those points without including so many not so veiled shots at other members here. Personally I came to this little corner of the internet to free myself from your type of posting style. For me it has been a haven of calm in a sea of drama. A place to communicate and interact passionately with other fans of a sports team that I value without personal affronts. In my many moons under this roof I have also made some very good friends that I additionally value very much.

I carry no weight here and my opinions are solely my own but considering your style and tone I don’t think that you are a positive addition here and I do think you should consider moving on.

I have a sneaking suspicion he's doin just that.

I want to make an actual Taylor comment now.

I don't think it's a lack of arm strength he has. If you look at his last throw to Terry he's flat footed. No forward motion, no push off the back foot. He just used all arm. You could tell in the wobble.

I personally feel if he fixed that issue he would become someone we consider keeping as a long term starter. Because his short to mid term throws are pretty damn good, and he has great mobility and evasiveness.

I'm pretty skeptical though... has any pro QB ever had their fundamental's signicantly impacted by coaching? If you get through youth football, high school, and college with certain mechanics and tendencies, my personal opinion is that it's almost impossible for you to significantly change your throwing motion or setup. It's 100% ingrained in you.

I would love to hear examples of a top QB changing their mechnics and being successful. I have never heard of that happening.

I agree with you. Mechanics are usually there with you for a very long time. It's obvious he hasn't changed as per him never being a starter outside of here.

But, IF!! Iiiiiiiiffffff he could change them.. he'd actually be a solid QB. Better than people like Mayfield and that sort.

I think they can be changed but that it takes a lot of time for changes to become ingrained to the point of being natural. When push comes to shove and under stress… I believe it is only natural to revert to instinct rather than training.

Yup. We called it "the old comfortable shoe" when you do that. These new shoes are stiff and pretty, but when push comes to shove the old comfortable shoes go back on.

The sad, unfortunate, frustrating part (pick your adjective) is that Taylor possesses so many qualities that are so desirable it is a shame that something so fixable is so challenging. Gamer, baller, winner, leader, etc.

Maybe if we had some serious coaches they could do something with all those Heinicke positives?

And then of you misguided fools would see what I've been saying all this time. Heinicke is the alpha. And the omega.

Maybe if they turnered over a new leaf. 🤪

Part of it is that coaching time in the offseason is so limited. Players are prohibited from working with their own coaches so they have to go somewhere else and pay someone else to work with them. Heinicke is obviously willing to do that to an extent but he isn't a "big money" guy. He is giving away a lot of money that he might need someday to do something now that might not pay off for him before he is done.

Don't the Manning brothers have camps?

Hated Eli when he was against us, but there is no question those men know how to quarterback

The Manning’s are genetically engineered to be QBs. There is another in the pipeline, too.

I actually have a different take on Taylor‘s arm strength. I think the way the NFL is now you can’t count on having the ability to step into throws and use “solid mechanics.” Think about the quarterbacks who excel today, they are the ones who can throw accurately and with velocity off their back foot or flat footed and from any platform. The days of Tom Brady being able to consistently stand tall in the pocket and step into throws I think are over. You are going to have to have a legitimate NFL arm to be able to slide and backpedal and still deliver.
