This is from his scouting report coming out of college. I had never read it before just now. I never thought I’d need to because these exact weaknesses were on full display last season and it didn’t seem like this was even up for debate. This is not just my opinion. This is the opinion of people who do this for a living.

Heinicke's strengths far exceed his weaknesses. Most NFL QBs would not have won 7 games on this team last year, not with that horrible defense. You are vastly underrating Heinicke.

And that is just your opinion. And this is where you completely lose me. Again, his passer rating was 25th in the league. Defense has nothing to do with that. He was third in the league in INTs despite only playing 15 games. You want to know what crushes a defense? Lots of turnovers. Heinicke has some nice strengths but you are overrating him to the point of absurdity.

multiple times said Wentz has his share of responsibility, but why would you ever read anything that doesnt fit your narrative? Nah, it's easier for you to plug your ears and scream "blah blah blah blah" Bottom line, It's a failing record, it's losing more games than you won. We're seeing the same offensive mindset we saw last year (that failed), with a different QB... along with the year before, and the year before, and the year before.

There are degrees of failure. And it's quite obvious that Wentz is a much bigger failure than Heinicke was.

The fact that a 5th/6th year starter like Wentz has been completely outplayed by a journeyman free agent QB who has started only 1 season worth of games should tell you something.

When Heinicke played last season, he didn’t have Jahan Dotson, Brian Robinson Jr., and Cole Turner and was also without Logan Thomas and Curtis Samuel for much of his time under center

Yes, Heinicke did not have nearly as many offensive weapons last year as Wentz does this year.

Yet Heinicke still completely outplayed Wentz. I don't think Washington would have won 3 games last year if Wentz had been the QB.

Lots of people on here saw Wentz's stats last year (27 TDs, 7 INTs) and assumed the dude was still a quality QB. Big mistake on their part. It's obvious the dude is done as a starting QB.

The biggest problem is obviously Wentz. A QB constantly making bad decisions and inaccurate throws will make any OC look bad.

I am not, nor have I ever been, in the tank for Wentz. I have not defended Wentz at all in this thread. We aren't talking about Wentz. We were talking about Heinicke's weak arm, which you put in quotes and said was 'just my opinion'. What I posted was relevant to that. It's not 'just my opinion.'

I have tried, several times, to bring actual facts and outside sources this discussion. You are not interested in that. You are simply repeating the same two lines over and over again, and it's tiresome and I'm done.

What I said was not in relation to his overall career or his potential. It was in direct response to your repeated claim that 'most QBs would not have won 7 games with that defense'. His INTs are VERY relevant to that discussion. His pedestrian passer rating is very relevant to that discussion. Him being a first year start is not relevant at all.

The bottom line is this -- If Heinicke's "weak arm" was such a liability, then he wouldn't have outplayed Wentz. But it's obvious that he has.

And how many INTs did Heinicke throw in the 7 games that they won? Very few.

Most of the INTs that Heinicke threw were in blowout losses. With the possible exception of the game against the Saints, Washington wasn't going to win any of those games anyway. Washington's defense played too poorly for Washington to possibly win more than 8 or 9 games last year.

That does matter. Heinicke usually plays extremely well when the game is on the line.

If you don't believe me, do your own research.
