for over 40 years I have watched this team, when I was a kid, we were always in the hunt, I was raised in the Gibbs era which was the golden age for a skins fan. I loved this team. all of my great life moments as a teenager came during great moments for the redskins. in 1991 I graduated high school and got to watch the most dominant team in NFL history. I was spoiled, the skins had been great through the 80's and into the 90's and I thought that was just the way it would always be. I wish I had known that was to be the last season worth watching for almost 20 years. It was cool watching a friend of mine Mike Sellers get picked up by the team and play a couple seasons, and it was nice to have hope a couple seasons but it wasnt nice to always win the offseason and then shit the bed in the real season. the only bright side is that the cowpies always lost in december after their short run. if they had been the patriots dynasty I would probably have quit watching sooner.
This team caved to the sjw idiots, they are participating in the erasure of native americans from pop culture and calling it progress. Instead of getting actual natives to protest this (and believe we exist and a ton of us are/were Redskins fans, the idiot in charge made grandiose " we will never change the name" statements and then did nothing to drum up support, instead, caving as soon as the sjw losers got noisy and it affected his wallet.
I have watched a few games of wtf football and really didn't feel connected or enjoy them much. honestly the only thing I really missed was this group and this place. but even coming here started to feel like I was an interloper because Iust didnt feel that connection to the team anymore. usually when we won, I was happy and when we lost I was sad, now, I struggled to give a damn. I felt more investment watching the cowpies lose than watching the wtf win. hell this was a season where I literally didnt even watch nfl primetime or other highlights much at all.
Commanders? lol what are we 7? these clowns cannot even get the dates right on our championship seasons mostly because they dont give a shit about the team, none of them are really invested. Snyder couldnt organise a gangbang in a whorehouse, I used to think he was a decent owner because he wasnt cheap and would spend money, but he wouldnt spend it where he needed to, on scouting and facilities. we had a terrible team culture for the past 20 years after having a wonderful one. I think we all know why.
anyway, I think I am finally done, I just want to thank you guys for being an awesome community and to the admins and mods for making the best community and keeping it going through some damn hard times. I hope for your sake the team imporves, but I doubt it will ever be the team we had. stay safe.
