As for the podcast, you all did a fabulous job. I also liked that the simulation threw you some curveballs and it wasn't just a slam dunk of easy picks to make. The reality is that when teams get in drafts, guys they really like are often taken before they get a chance to pick them. I also like the point Neophyte made about how Peters draft board will most likely look vastly different from these draft simulators and other mock drafts that are done. Picking a guy that the "experts" see a reach isn't a reach when the guy turns out to be a great player. Time will tell on that front, and we can see from the 2020 draft, none of those guys could even make it to a 2nd contract with the team.
The team you all picked in the draft is really good. Like you all, I'm expecting a tackle early, so I was getting nervous as well, but one fell nicely in this simulation. I expect that at various points in the real draft, Peters will be staring at a guy and thinking "He's still here, we have to take him".
One other comment I'll make. Just like you all ended up doing in this mock, I get the feeling that a defensive player will be taken with one of the 2nd round picks, assuming they don't trade them both to move up. That still may lead to a defensive player, but I think we all assume a trade back into the first round will be for a left tackle. Anyway, with Quinn as the coach, it would just surprise me if we see all offense taken with these early picks. I think he is going to want a starter on defense as well.
