Williams to me makes up more for McFlabb. And Ill be honest I thought McNugget had gas left in the tank when they got rid of him. I thought they were just high on Vick (or just high period) when they let us have him. Hindsight is definitely 20/20 there.

I also thought McNabb had something left. But the rest of the team wasn't strong enough to seriously compete, so it probably didn't make sense to go after a QB with possibly two seasons left for a team that was at least two seasons away.

Shanahan has done much better lately. And I understand the desire to trade down and get more picks--especially when we don't have a first.

But if the great majority of those later round picks are no longer in the NFL on any team.....maybe we should just pick in higher rounds where the odds are better.

I'm not sure many people around the NFL agree with this BB. RG3 and Alfred Morris may cloud our judgement. I've seen some comparisons to other teams that don't paint a pretty picture.

I may or may not agree with their assessment. Then again, I fully expect people to disagree with the BBQ mocks each year and encourage everyone to post their own.

My focus was really taking LeRibeus over Stephenson. It was no secret that the Redskins wanted DS (numerous visits, meetings, workouts) and fully expected him to be there in the fifth. The Chiefs were miffed and made their counter move two picks later in the third. No one else wanted Stephenson in ANY round. Why? He is an ok RT for most teams, but his skillsets are far better suited for the ZBS. Coach Shanahan took a risk and it backfired.

If you want to do a full scale evaluation of the drafts since the new regime arrived, then we can do so in a new thread next winter. In fact, that could be a great segue to the BBQ mocks in 2014.
