REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed tackle Michael Huey to the team’s practice squad. In addition, the team released wide receiver Rashad Ross from its practice squad.

Huey (6-4, 317) played for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League the past three seasons, helping the team win three consecutive ArenaBowl crowns and earning All-Arena honors each season. He also had brief stints with both the Seattle Seahawks and San Diego Chargers prior to the beginning of the 2011 regular season.

From 2007-10, Huey played collegiately at Texas, where he was a three-time member of the Athletics Director's Honor Roll and a second-team Academic All-Big 12 selection as a senior in 2010.

Huey, 26, attended Kilgore (Texas) H.S., where he was U.S. Army All-American and all-state performer. He was born on Sept. 28, 1988.
