That's a good looking kid Mike! Good thing he looks like Sian!

A Redskins blanket - that is awesome. Just like my parents did it. :)

Way to go Big Mike ! Best to you and yours.

You have got to have one of the most photogenic kids I've ever saw, and the eye for composition to capture it.

Side note: You have got to see my rig at this point. Heavy tripod, with ballast bucket, GPS tracking telescope mount, and just got in the dovetail mount for the camera. Add in the tripod shelf, and laptop, I'm ready to go out to play. Hopefully this weekend.

Take a pic of it and send it to me.

That.
Is.
Awesome.

Who could not love that kid? And the tank? OMG. I would likely have murdered you and stolen it if we'd been friends then. Waaay cool. I'll trade you my 'Strange Change Machine' circa 1969 for it! And yes - I actually have one :)

Oh - and youngsters? If you look carefully, you'll see what we called back then a 'Flatscreen' :)

That TV was a black and white - a really good one. My folks got a color tube in '68 and they kept the black and white in the living for a few years. Just to say we had two TVs and that was like saying you had money back in the day, lol.

That tank was so cool. Had it for a long, long time.

I think I was a teenager before we had a color TV - and it was probably a 20" set. Folks born after 1980 or so really have no idea how radically things have changed.

Ya, I remember our first color set, it was 66, and it was also a huge console unit.We had it into the early 70's when it died on thanksgiving day. One of my funniest memories of my youth. My uncle Al the Auto mechanic swore he could fix it. He pivioted it 90 degree to the wall, unplugged it, and removed the back. Poking around with a screw driver, he found a capacitor. There was a blinding flash of light, and dear ol uncle Al was flat on his back about 3 feet from where he was. Numb from the finger tips past the elbow, and hair lookin like Don King, he proclaimed he found the problem. There's a reason we call him a "mountain ginnie."

It got carried to the curb that weekend.
