We are proceeding with a migration of our current server to a cloud server today. This will be a live migration, so you will not lose access during the actual migration. It is possible we may have some downtime when making changes to our firewall settings post-migration, that is TBD, but if so hopefully that is a brief period of inaccessibility.

I will update this thread once the migration is complete so that members are aware and can alert us of any issues they experience. We should see a performance boost and greater site stability after this move.
 
I transferred a bunch of files from one filing cabinet to another once, Im sure I can help if you run into any technical difficulties.



Jokes aside, appreciate all you guys do behind the scenes!

Yeah, I am a 'self-taught' webmaster so I always have a little trepidation with server stuff. We have had (knocks on wood) very few technical issues over the years but we have had some site lagging issues of late so are hopeful this is a positive upgrade for us. There is nothing worse in this world than wanting to share with the world the pictures of the mac and cheese I just made and having trouble loading the images :)

Thank you Boone, these server migrations and stuff are always a little nerve racking.

I can't wait to share posts of my absolutely delightful kraft macaroni and cheese dinner I had last night! With fancy mustard. And had really expensive ketchups with it. That's right, all the fanciest - Dijon ketchups. While my wife was wearing a green dress. Which was cruel. (If you get the reference, you are old and get a bonus point.)

PS: We did actually have Kraft macaroni and cheese for dinner last night. But I won't be posting a picture of it. :p

Everything is faster! I know my 'puter is old (I have a new one on standby for when this one craps out, but I don't keep anything on this one, it just gets me here, lol).
But it's speeding up, and that's a great thing! Thanks to all who put in the work, we appreciate it!!!
