I was always told the season ticket waiting list was years long.
When were you told that? That was the very public case from sometime around the 1980s (earlier? Not sure) until the 2000s. Then, the expansion of FedEx shrank the waiting list dramatically.
Then, the suckage. The years... and years... of suckage. Like a horrible circus ringmaster, Snyder rolled in this supposedly "hot name" after that "hot name" all with at best middling results. The waiting list was claimed to exist, but no.
It died without a lot of public fanfare at an unannounced time I think in that 2010-ish timeframe maybe? Not sure.
They did finally announce there was no waiting list. I think that announcement came in the latter half of the last decade, sometime around 2017 perhaps?
At any rate, today, there is no waiting list. This is shown with the seating relocations they do, and that they call current and former STH to see if they want to purchase tix. The lower-level is sold out, except for the "Touchdown Club" section, I have heard.
^^ all of those dates are from my memory. They could be off by anywhere from 1-100 years. Other than that, I stand by it all.
Asked "CoPilot" and if it is to be believed, I am pretty close:
