Rookie of the week

Congrats to young Jaylin - such an awesome play. I really hope he can develop into a Santana/Desean type WR who strikes fear into the hearts of DBs, and not just a ST specialist. What a find late in the draft.
 
FYI, there's a Commanders fan group on Reddit who use bots to vote up every Commanders player nominated. Not saying Bill and Lane didn't deserve it, but the win is a little artificial.
 
There have been in recent weeks a bunch of grumbling about Peters. Some of it is fair, but one thing can be said... his rookies own rookie of the week. Between last year and this, I think our pups have won most of the recognitions.

I truly doubt we're the only team that does this. I bet it mostly cancels itself out.
 
Yeah like the fan pro bowl vote, this stuff doesn’t matter and loses meaning because fans mobilize and rig the votes. So the only thing these awards show is that our fanbase cares more than others. Which after the apathy of Snyder is kinda cool. But also just on principle is kinda embarrassing.
 
For an up and down year, JCM got a whole lot of ROTW recognition.
 
Voted for Bill. Looks like he has competition, and most of our fanbase tuned out on the season before Halloween, but I hope he wins.
 
Congrats Bill! Lucky for him he saw more playing time. Probably would've been used sparingly if not for Rodriguez being out. It is what it is, and shouldn't be.
 
He’s a raw late pick who played one game in 2024.

But he has shown the flashes in a few games this year that we have not seen from Sinnott, McCaffrey and some other higher draft picks.
 
I love when people find a way to complain even when discussing a positive development
 
No, just noting that a #7 round pick can come in and show he can play at this level, even while needing to polish his game.

You don’t need to wait 2-3 years for picks to START to show they have something to offer.
