He's still on the PS. Might see him a little bit of him today. It takes awhile to develop an lineman especially at Center. If anyone can develop one ahead of the curve it's Callahan.

I'd like to see Garret and make a clean sweep of the NFC East but that's not gonna happen.

Vikings DB were mirroring the Packers WR routes. Why? We haven't changed the offense all season despite the lack of results. We are the easiest team in the NFL to scheme for.
If a playoff blowout loss cost MM his job (it won't) I'd easily become a Skins fan this week.

Been listening to Dallas sportstalk all day, Garrett is going nowhere.
 
So Tom Coughlin steps down and all the coverage that goes along with it.

You know what bothers me? All the sports writers that are that are speaking in awe of his record...his two Superbowl wins...

Now we have Justin Tuck talking on twitter how awesome his coach was because he would sleep in his office during the week and how much he cared and Rich Gannon chimes in with "he's a guy that will be remembered as one of the great ones..."

Now I'm not against anyone getting their "day in the sun" and maybe it's just part of me turning into a grumpy old man...but Tom Coughlin was very good...he wasn't great.

You know who was great but rarely gets mentioned in the "great coaches" talk? Joe Gibbs.

When that talk happens in the media, you hear Noll,Landry,Walsh and now Belichick...but no mention of Joe.

That,for some reason, ticks me off.
 
I agree with that 100% Diesel. I believe Gibbs is right up there. With only one caveat....

Most of those other coaches, maybe all you just named, have ridiculous coaching trees below them.

Something like 7 of the last 10 SBs were won by disciples of Belichick and Parcells? And of course Bill Walsh had the same.

I don't think Gibbs ever had a coach below him go on to have success anywhere else.

Most of the coaches you hear at the top of those lists not only made great players, but they made great coaches too.
 
That makes a pretty strong case for why Gibbs is maybe the best of the lot.
 
I mean, I hear that nitwit Adam Schien proclaiming that Bill Belichick is the greatest coach in NFL History when you consider free agency and the salary cap..... and I catch myself talking back to the radio or tv "Tell him to do it without Brady! Try it with three different Qbs!!"

Silly, I know.

It just always has bothered me how Joe never gets any respect for what he did here in that first run.
 
Couldn't agree more DP, it IS infuriating. I'll add the 92 SB team is also disrespected as well. I defy anyone to find a better team, or a better coached team than that one.

Yet for some reason, it is rarely brought up as one of the great all time teams.
