Getting back to Hank's injury - there is some talk that the exact nature of it (hip subluxation and labrum tear) could prevent him from making a full recovery.
As sad as it is to lose a promising player for the season if it's gonna happen, I'd prefer it to be this season where we don't have a legitimate chance and winning anything. HOWEVER, if the injury is one that could potentially end his career, then I will be extremely bummed.
Anyone out there have any clarity on this?

I take that as he is not ready. I know we are 6 months from the start of the season, but...
They tried the non-surgical rehab route first, El. Things didn't come around they way the team hoped so he had surgery on it just a few weeks ago. As I understand it, both and the team expect him to be fully ready to go by the beginning of training camp if not the OTAs.

Oh sure. We're going to put Wilbur Marshall on IR tomorrow - he has built up a large cap number in the last twenty-two years and the plan is to dump him by Tuesday. That should free up $36 mil right away. Uh, don't tell Roger though.
