Redskins Sign Pierre Thomas

I love this signing.

We basically just added another receiver, but one with more durability than Chris Thompson.

I wouldn't be surprised if he steps up, takes Thompson's job and is back on the roster next year.
 
Doesn't Thomas have a bit of an injury history himself?

He's a better blocking option than Thompson. Might be their best backfield blocker outside of DY.
 
Gruden may be keeping mum on Thompson and listing him as week to week, but with a torn labrum he is done for the season unless you want to see a one-armed back trying to pass block for Cousins on third downs.

Pierre Thomas at 31 doesn't have the speed to make guys miss like Reed or Jackson or Thompson, but he knows how to run routes and get himself into position to make the routine catch and keep the chains moving.

We have had all kinds of problems this season with receivers running shallow routes and not getting to the sticks on third down.

We won't have that problem with Thomas.
 
Curious if he might improve our run game as well?
