The Redskins are in the playoffs, the Cowboys are at the bottom of the NFCE, and Dallas fans are wondering if they should try to win or go for the highest draft pick possible.

Bleu Star

Do not (I repeat) do not go out on Sunday and make any attempts to beat the Skins. The ability to trade down for value from a top 3 pick is so much more appealing than #7 or 8... We should be resting anyone of value that does not require further evaluation. Guys like Showers should be dressed and ready to take a half of football. This should be treated very much like a preseason game. What do we have to gain here against the Skins? ZILCH!

We already beat the Skins this year when it mattered. Winning this game would suck and I have no doubt Jerry would throw up a little in his throat if, at the final bell, the Cowboys are ahead of the Skins. I would even venture to say some of you will too. Let the backups battle it out for early slotting next year. This isn't tanking 101 here... This is one game with one outcome that has already been determined.

For once coaches, go with a winning strategy.

Hardline

The Redskins are going to mail it in also.

DallasCowboys2080

absolutely! i have a lot of faith in our ball club to loose another game they will try and win. no fear. organic tanking.

Dhragon

Could be the best of both worlds for the Skins. They win the division AND lose to us to play spoilers for our draft position.

Catch17

You just know that we will beat them.

The only time we lose to Washington is when we're pretty good.

rat2k8

Beat the Skins? LOL this team couldn't beat a High School team.

Mookie

Nobody in the Cowboys team will try to lose this game. They are professionals who are paid to win every single game, and going into the offseason with a win feels much better than losing for draft positioning.
Besides, there really isn't much difference between #5 or #8, in the previous drafts there hasn't been any extreme advantage in picking #4,5 versus picking #7,8.

I say we go out there an beat the crap out of the Redskins and sweep the season series, any other mentality or losing preference deserves no place in a Cowboys locker room.

Kal-El of Krypton

Top 3 pick you taste so good.

TexasTriumph

I wonder if the Redskins are gonna try to do to us, what we did to them last year.

Play the starters the whole game and win the gam

Casper

the skins don't need to win and can rest all their players....I doubt Dallas loses next week unless they try and throw it and in this case they should for the higher draft pick.

rey713

I have never felt this emotionless for a regular season game... even a meaningless one. I was more excited for that McGee win against the Eagles back in 2010.

It's like I want the Cowboys to win, especially since it's the Redskins... but the Redskins don't have anything to play for besides adding a win to their head-to-head matchup against us (which doesn't matter more than a good draft pick right now) so it would feel like an empty victory.

TulsaDaily

Just watch... Some how the Cowboys will win this one and mess up the draft pick.

Quickdraw

I'm skeptical that even if they lose, they'll screw up the draft.

I did hear however that if they do lose, they have a chance at possible the #2 spot.

Blues_n_Cues

can we just call Kevorkian now??

Team Cowboys

Gotta finish the season with a win at home. Beat the Redskins just for fun

TheHerd

Backup QBs kill this team. I don't think we'll have to try to lose.

Jay Gruden said this afternoon (DC time) that Kirk Cousins IS going to start the Cowboys game.

That to me means we are going to try and win this one.

If we are ahead at the half, it could look like a preseason game where we substitute a bunch of guys to give the starters a blow.

If you have watched a number of Dallas games this season, their defense is solid. They fight and don't give up that many points.

But their offense is downright awful.

The Cowboys are not going to score more than in the teens with this offense tops, so if the Redskins were to go out to an early lead like they did against the Giants or Eagles, the game may be over by the half or third quarter in any event.

Wonder if Garett's tenure with the turds is depending on this game? Wouldn't that be sweet to et another coach canned?

I doubt it. Jerrah is convinced Coach Ginger is going to heal Tony Romance and lead the chosen ones to the Promised Land. I think Garrett is the Cowboys coach for the next 5 years. He'll have to fail post-Romo for Jones to finally face reality.

The way Romos going I'd be surprised if he makes a complete season again. Dude has had some pretty significant injuries lately.

As soon as I came across that one I knew it had to be included. What beautiful angst to witness in a Cowpukes fan.:violin::cheesy:

It's funny how far their delusion goes.

Just the other day,I was talking to a friend(who's a Cowpie fan,Lord help him) and we're talking football and draft.

I asked him if he thought they'd pick a QB since they would be high in the draft order? His response:

"No. I'd like to see a deep threat at wide out. Terrance Williams is terrible. Cole Beasley sucks too! I'd say we draft a d-lineman, or at least that is what I'd do.
If it was me picking:
DT
CB
WR
RT
S
DE
OLB
RB "

So apparently, even after seeing the wreck they possess after Romo ,in the QB corps, it's still not enough to make them think they should draft one to develop, even with Romo's age and injury history out there in plain view.

The Jerrah is strong amongst them........

As Joe Theismann would say: "That's gotta be good for us, right?"

Makes more room for their PS guys to come up and start getting used to a butt-kicking.

I see it as guys getting a chance to make an impression with their coaches by teeing off on our guys. Hate to see a key player lost because some Cowpuke PS guy letting it all hang out in a game with no bearing on the rest of the season.

Latest Clownboy injury report shows;

Questionable: Claiborne & Lee
Doubtful: La'el Collins

Like to see if Mackenzy Bernadeau makes on the field at some point and get some game tape on him. C/G played under Callahan for a few years will be a FA this year.

Texas_OutLaw7

I know I am alone in this, but I want to Stomp the Redskins. They wear the crown that by right should be ours this season.
Man, ship some of that kool-aid to me...

The_Slamman

If there was ANYTHING at stake for the Redskins, I'd want the Cowboys to win. The only thing at stake for both teams is draft position. A season ending loss to the redskins simply fits for what the season has been about.
That's better - a guy after the kool-aid wore off

DaBoys

Who needs to tank when you can lose with all your might?
And finally a guy who never drinks kool-aid
