Speaking of the massive Tampa connections - now, what's this I hear about Doug Williams being offered a role ?

Not sure there will be an announcement that they are retaining him. No change means no announcement IMO.

I guess that's possible - although it would be a strange precedent. We hired a new coach, and he clearly did not commit to Haslett in his press conference or any other coach. We've announced the retention of other coaches we are keeping. Why would we expect anything different with Haslett?

Just glad that the three new assistants are not Moe, Larry, and Curly.

As for Haz, I guess it is just wait and see. There are several good DCs out there right now and why we are not even considering one is really a mystery. Like a weird mystery.

Well, strange and Redskins aren't exactly mortal enemies. Maybe to try to minimize the expected backlash? I don't know. It wouldn't make any sense but it wouldn't surprise me either. Going to take a long time before I expect any consistency and normalcy from this thing.
