not having alex gibbs hurts, but not having linemen capable of winning one on ones hurts more. thats one thing Ive been syaing since shanny showed up.

The zone gets you so far, it covers up smallish linemen by making defences move laterally, however in goalline and straight up passing situations, you cant hide that.


I dont look at last year as winning the NFC being anything worthwhile, all it did was make people think Haslett should stay, I would rather have finished lower and kept rg3 healthy. besides shanny gave up on the team, I dont think hes the right fit for us anymore, he helped turn around the offence, but we are still lanet deficient on both side of the ball

Teams have to learn how to win, especially teams that have struggled.

You really think Shanahan gave up on the team? I think his comments were calculated; he said that to fire the team up, and it obviously worked. They won 7 in a row and took the division. That's a big deal, no matter how you slice it.

His posts were well worded, backed up by stats and intrinsic insight into Art's true value to the team, all which were brought to light by Art's contemporaries when it was apparent that he was to be inducted.

He easily ran circles around the nay sayers who claimed that Art was not worthy for whatever reason and not just on the board itself, his arguments could have taken on any of the no-voters for the Hall.

Yeah, he can turn it on when he wants to, might not always agree but worth the read nevertheless.
