Random Thoughts

Everyone else hates this hot weather but I love it. Been waiting 9 months for hot days and warm summer nights. Ahhhhhhhh. Took the dog to the swimming hole to throw her a few sticks today, then romped with her in the stream. Tomorrow I may play 9 holes, 100 degrees does not bother me and keeps players off the course. But I never overdo it and know my limitations.

90+ degrees on the DR but it rained all so the weather was great today. Lazy Sunday!

Santo Domingo and Cap Cana. My girl lives here

Not like the DMV
It always makes me giggle when people from the DC area say they couldn’t live in Florida because of the heat and humidity. The DMV has more oppressive weather in the summer than anywhere I have lived. Does it last longer in Florida. You betcha.

Now let’s talk winter. 🤣

Heat doesn't bother me as much as the humidity. Spent 18 months in NE Thailand. Seemed like every day was 98 degrees and 98% humidity. Got me conditioned for when I went to U of Alabama.

Oh yeah those nasty atlanta winters.
🤦
They hit hard and fast if you're not ready, most folks here aren't. I grew up in the Winchester hills, got 38" of snow on my 17th birthday, stuck inside for 3 weeks...taught me to be prepared for anything.
Then I went into the Navy, which taught me to double-prepare. ;)

Yeah i was teasing.
I spent a winter in conyers 17 years ago.

When i left my house the snow was up to my windows and my truck bed was full.
Some of the snow almost made it to georgia but not quite.

When i was there we got two inches of snow, People were freaking out because they hadnt seen snow in so long and all i could think was thst i couldn't escape it.

Almost nobody knew how to drive in it though, actually caused a state of emergency.

In mass 2 inches is nothing

Up by the WV line, 2 inches (of snow) is nothing either. Put it on ATL, whole different picture. :ROFLMAO:

Out of curiosity I looked up the annual snowfall in Maryland towns. Silver Spring gets 20" Mount Airy 28". Oakland near Deep Creek gets over 100". By comparison Cortex, Colorado gets 30".
