Wilson sighting in Ashburn today.

The post-Olympic depression is going to hit hard tomorrow. I work in the back room of a shop and streamed the Olympics on a computer in the back, checking on it whenever I had a spare moment. I have sports I follow every weekend, but seeing something all day every day was a treat.

For me it's the day after the Super Bowl. But this year we had the Olympics to buy 2 more weeks. So now I'm kind of stuck until spring training.

I wonder how often this happens :

I buy a used car from a major dealership. It's a 17 year old model.
Not long after the purchase, I basically get this from them :

Dear Mr. Mick A. Lino,
Remember that car you bought from us ?
We would like to buy it back...Please.

Sincerely.

My wife insists on watching reruns of 'Mad About You'. It's got to be my least favorite show of all time. Most annoying TV couple ever.

FIND OUT EVERYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT THAT CAR.

I can help if you don't know how to look.

Thank you. Very kind of you to offer to help. I wouldn't want to be a burden, so I would at least try to see what I can research at first.
But I wouldn't know where do I start ; Car Fax ? Or is there a free alternative to them ?

What about the 5000 different mailings about your car warranty being expired as soon as you buy it though?

Maybe it was owned by John Voight?
I see what you did there. Well played.

But it is odd, I"d be tempted to flip the car for a quick $500 profit but then you have to start all over in getting a car so hard to say if I'd do it or not.

Yes, start with CarFax. (My late husband's ex-wife was a car salesperson that sold us my Saturn, that I absolutely loved.) She had to rely on it.

I used to be closely in touch with a car dude on ES, but I've lost all those texts and stuff because my phone died. I'll try to remember the stuff he knew.
See how many times it's been transported to different dealerships, etc. Who sold it, who didn't, etc.

Now that is quite interesting. The car I referenced is actually a Saturn...which I absolutely love.
It's quite heartbreaking they had to shut down in 2010.

Jon Voight probably would not drive a Saturn, however I will check the glovebox for a chewed up pencil, just to be sure

Mine was a '99 SC-1...black, moon roof, stick shift, I loved that car.

Debating on trying out a drawing tablet for the first time. I've just signed a contract to illustrate and co-write my first graphic novel and it feels like having a digital drawing tool might be invaluable. I am totally a luddite when it comes to art using paper or canvas almost exclusively for drawing and painting. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?
