A couple of Morgan Silver Dollars that I found buried deep in a dresser drawer at my Dad’s apartment. They were heavily tarnished and I cleaned them this morning. Came out pretty good.

That’s awesome Chris. I remember when my grandparents passed away a few years ago, my aunts and uncles described finding things like this as the greatest scavenger hunt ever. That generation definitely kept money stowed away and based on the era many of them grew up in, who can blame them.

It was indeed a scavenger hunt. 🤣 I also found this, signed by some of his military buddies from his time serving in Germany.

I guess I am from ‘old money’. 😉

When my grandparents passed my mother and I went through everything they left behind. I have a real Japanese Samurai sword and short sword. The scary thing is I also have a picture of my grandfather holding two Japanese heads by their hair on a beach

As I've gotten older, stories like Amelia Earhart fascinate me. Nikumaroro is where I believe Emelia ended up and this short video seems to back that up.
