Can't hate it, considering the guaranteed money that slub Cousins sucked from Minny and the Commanders, and Rodger is , well, considering he's a top 5 all time. Now what happens with Adams, no way he agreed to that without them at least slapping the franchise tag.

I’d never give up assets for an RB. I’d never give a big contract to an RB. I’d never use a top 10 pick on an RB. The lifespan of a good RB is about 3 years. McCaffrey was unstoppable and the best player in the league, and then injuries hit and he’s been nothing the last 2 years. That’s most all RBs except for the occasional freak of nature like Adrian Peterson. And even with him, he went from star to nothing overnight. RBs just aren’t worth investment in the game today. You can find what you need in the mid to late rounds.
 
I think McCaffery is an offense-changing player like Jordan Reed was for about 3 games :) If he were healthy you’d have to look at him but yeah, the wear and tear on RBs…

Whatever the issue is with is Baker Mayfield, don't think anyone can argue it's a lack of weapons.
 
I will be surprised if we sign ANY free agent whose name is instantly recognizeable. My issue with Rivera and Company is, it's fine to not want to make free agency a major part of your team-building strategy (I guess), but then maybe you should stop giving away draft picks like they are subway tokens. I mean, unless your plan is to win the next Super Bowl on the backs of UDFAs and walk-ons, that's a problem :)
