I just heard the win by Green Bay was not legitimate. Evidently the Russians hacked the game. LOL (when heard that had to laugh. So wrong and funny on so many levels)

To the last point- I welcome anyone who would like to argue against my proclamation. A damn good QB, a damn good RB (both playing on rookie contracts), a damn good offensive line signed through 2021, a better than average receiving corp, and a future Hall of Fame TE on offense. They will also be getting out from under Romo's onerous contract and be able to spend to improve the defense.

That's what we thought at the end of 2012 when we went the same distance in the playoffs as Dallas, using a rookie wonder QB and rookie wonder RB, just like them.

But maybe they end up a one year wonder, just like RG3 and Morris did. In fact, I basically predicted a few weeks ago that they would be one and done in the playoffs like we did in 2012, and also predicted way way back in 2013 that RG3 would eventually get benched. So I'm not buying any Dallas stock.
 
Hard to argue most of what Chris is saying. As for Jason Witten - he is at the twilight of his career so not sure he's got more than another year or two in him and is already declining. I hear over and over that Dallas has the best OL in football but is that really true? They couldn't protect Dak when they had to.

Dak looks to be the real deal and he's made that receiving corp look a lot better. But until they show they can dominate the NFC East for multiple years I'm not anointing them. We've shown we can compete against them even with flawed teams on recent years.

Comparing Prescott to Griffin, who thrived in a gimmick offense until he broke, is a pretty faulty comparison.

Yeah it's not quite the same.

Dallas built that o-line to protect Romo and run behind. They were lucky that Dak panned out so well straight away.

It does bode well for their future though.

But it could just as easily be lightning in a bottle. We'll find out next year.

Those with those hopes needed to hope that Robert could develop into a successful pro qb from a passing standpoint. It was only a matter of time before the defensive minds in the NFL figured out how to stop the read option, just like they did the wildcat. As for the ten years part, I can't fathom anyone running that type of offense for that long.

Besides, what does any of that have to do with Prescott? He has, so far, been very successful running a traditional pro offense. I saw nothing in his game his year to believe that won't continue.

I just think that one season is too little of a sample, to place a label on an NFL QB, whether it's a successful or a poor season. It takes more than one season to stand the test of time. We've seen it work both ways. Rookie QB's who start out horrendous, then go on to become great ones. Or rookie QB's who come out of the gates on fire, only to fizzle out, for the remainder of their career. There are so many factors involved that may cause him to appear either great or poor, when in reality he is neither, so I will wait another season, before I pronounce Prescott as a franchise QB.
 
I was hoping, nay wishing for an Atlanta v Pittsburgh SB LI, but seeing as though the Cheatriots beat the Steelers, I won't even waste my time in watching the SB. With that said, my NFL season finished today.
