Which patriots WR is the obvious choice? Moss for both the Pats and the Vikings? Am I missing one from the Pats? While Moss had a few amazing years with Brady and the Pats, I associate him with the Vikings.

Moss also played for the Raiders in that case.

Colts: Marvin Harrison and Reggi Wayne both might be better overall. I’d take Harrison over Evans in a heartbeat.

Steelers: I’d take Swann and Stallworth.

Dallas: he was a coke head, but Michael Irvin probably is better also. I’ve go to think there are other better WRs for Dallas in it’s history.

Rams: I don’t know how the stats compare but Isaac Bruce and Torrey Holt were amazing in that greatest show on turf offense.

Bills: Andre Reed?

There is definitely a recency bias, change of rules and style of game. But I don’t think Evans is quite as historically good as that chart indicates. I mean, he’s great. But he’s not like #3 WR of all time great.

Yes I had a follow up post that said some of this but didn’t click post so now will piggyback on yours and just say, that tweet is over the top bad actually; I don’t even know that it is recency bias as much as Evans/TB homerism.

Offensively, this is a huge year for Peters' draft picks. Right now, many of them have room to make their mark, but that window is closing pretty fast for each of them. Hopefully, they are ready and can maximize and surprise. Amongst the fans, I think many of them have already been written off.

I agree. However fans need immediate gratification.

Remember by halftime of Daniels’ first game fans were saying he was just Griffin all over again?

I remember posting something to the effect that we should give the kid at least an entire game before deciding his fate.

Based on what I hear from Bram, Keim and Standig, while the fans have written these guys off, the team absolutely hasn’t.

However, this is the year when they have to prove it. Because a 4th year draft pick is not guaranteed a roster spot if they haven’t produced in years 1-3.

So it’s put up or shut up time.

I've been saying that I haven't been liking the way she's reporting things and her little slick comments that I feel like are her own personal opinions instead of real reporting.

Thankfully, she's been suspended. For years it's been pretty clear how she operated. Maybe they're swingers or something, who the hell knows, but the professional dimension of this is totally unacceptable and should have serious consequences.

And if I ran a certain 4-letter network, I would've fired the breaking news king years ago, too, because his ethics are just as low as Russini's and set a terrible standard of what's acceptable in the sports reporting field.

Agreed. There should be consequences for him, too. As a leader you set the standard, though I realize how interesting it would be for the owner to come down hard in this instance, given his own highly inappropriate behavior that somehow went unpunished by the league of high (though inconsistently applied) standards.

Meh. I'm not too bothered by Vrabel. I think that what he did isn't too bad. Russini on the other hand, will forever be tarnished as a scoop thot. She should have thought this out more. It literally doesn't matter what she does in the profession from here on.

She could have had a completely legitimate relationship with coach but it will forever look like she slept with him for a scoop and that will always follow her. That's pretty much the worst tag a female reporter can have. Probably set the whole female reporter industry back some.

Many NFL HC (and other coach) contracts have personal conduct clauses that prohibit certain types of behavior, including this. No idea if his has one, but I think they all should. This is unprofessional in both directions and detracts from the organizations both parties represent.

That’s fine, but my point is that actions can be much more or less severe, depending on your line of work. If you’re on a plane and the flight attendant is drunk, that’s one thing, but if the pilot is drunk, it matters a whole lot more. Subjectively, they’ve both committed the same inappropriate offense, but you would expect the penalties for doing so to be very different.
