I'd take either one of those over Vinny. At least they had success at some level of football - either coaching or playing.

Vinny's only claim to fame is being able to suck the chrome off the former owner's trailer hitch.

Over the next few games I would like for Ben Sinnott to be introduced to the passing game. I don’t believe he has had a target yet.

Honestly Chris, that one is a head scratcher to me. I sort of thought he might get introduced today as something of a wrinkle for the Baltimore defense but it obviously didn't happen.

The coaches can make the argument that Ertz right now is simply a better receiver at this point for Daniels than Sinnott.

But the long-term success of the team depends upon getting these high picks in the lineup and getting them opportunities to develop and contribute as much as possible on these cheap rookie contracts.

And the fact there is THAT much separation between a 34 year old player who has been injured much of the past 2 years and a guy you take in Round 2, can also be viewed as problematic.

Guys drafted in Round 2, especially skill players, are supposed to get on the field early unless they are behind stars in their primes.

So, perhaps Sinnott was a bit of a diamond in the rough that has talent but was drafted a bit early by Washington.

I saw a number of pre-draft scouting reports that put Sinnott in Round 3 or even Round 4.

We viewed him differently, which is fine.

But no catches is still no catches here coming off Week 6.

That's not acceptable.

No catches is not ideal, for sure. No targets? Really hard to understand for me.

Yeah, La Porta was lighting it up last year after being drafted in a similar spot.

Sinott has 0 targets. That has to change. Urtz isn't Tony Gonzales.

I agree. It's concerning that they have not even tried to integrate Sinnott into the passing attack. Borderline weird.

Having a LT rookie who may turn out to be a stud is a legit big time bonus from the draft though.

If he is a legit LT that makes up for Sinott even if he's just a complete turd.

McCaffrey is going to also be a bonus IMo. No way that he's going to be a scrub.

Next year they will just have to focus on the DBs and Edge, I'm thinking.

After the draft Peters indicated that the team looked at Ben Sinnott as being a Swiss Army Knife in the mold of some of the players the 49ers have had success with on offense.

If that's the case, I wonder why we have not used him in a fullback role in short yardage as a blocker or ball carrier to get that yard or two.

With Robinson playing hurt the past couple of weeks and missing the Ravens game, I think using Sinnott would be a better option than having Daniels take additional hits on these plays.

Wagner is another guy like London Fletcher that stayed in shape, treated his body right and avoided major injuries and was able to play a long time at a high level.

This is like his third resurrection?

I'm a little curious about his league leading Run Defense grade. Obviously there is nuance to it, but we haven't exactly been excelling at rush defense.

I've long doubted PFF grades. They often fail to pass the eyeball test especially when it comes to the o-line.

IMO it isn't the linebackers.

It's the defensive line not being able to set the edge and being out of position, especially on delayed draws and stretch zone plays and then it's also the fact we don't have many defensive backs that can tackle in the open field.

That needs to be addressed at the earliest opportunity. Far too many times guys are going for shoulder tackles and failing to wrap these guys up and so a 5 yard play turns into 9 or 10 yards.

Quan Martin and Jeremy Chinn want to deliver the big hit, I would rather they make the mundane tackle instead.

I've long doubted PFF grades. They often fail to pass the eyeball test especially when it comes to the o-line.

Offensive line is notoriously hard to evaluate strictly through the numbers.

Look at Washington this year. Brian Robinson's yards after contact is what has made the ground game a winner (along with Daniels improvisation). It's not that the OL is creating monster holes for him to run through on a regular basis.

But they get the credit for the 4.6 per carry average that Robinson sports.

We saw in the Ravens game that without Robinson the OL trying to block for Ekeler and McNichols didn't do much if anything.

My eyes tell me that Allegretti and Wylie need to be upgraded from. They tend to get higher grades from almost everyone out there than I give them.
