I wonder if it might not have been a good idea to sign Laken Tomlinson to a one year deal as Seattle did yesterday to provide starting depth at LG.
 
I disagree. It will always be the Redskins to me. And there is no moving on. The team will always be that name to me. I have been to. Dozen games since the name change and have purchased zero items with the commander name. At the last game I purchased an RFK teeshirt.
 
I want the name changed again because of its current association with Snyder.

When Harris bought the team and the sale was finalized I bought a burgundy hat with the 'W' logo on it. It's fine for now, but we need some greater creativity and artistry in developing a real logo.

The irony is that the current name 'Commanders' really doesn't have a logo or mascot because it is so general and unspecific.

The big problem I have with 'Redskins' now that we are several years clear of the name change is the attempts by the NFL to erase out all references to the team's logo or mascot in previous years when the league was just fine sitting there and watching this team go to and win the Super Bowl.
 
What the NFL and media are doing is evil. You cannot go on amazon and buy anything Redskins, but you can go on and by Chief Wahoo for the former Cleveland Indians. On top of that blocking out the logo on old video is disgusting, and then the first year the team signed Patterson his parents live in PG county. They blurred out all Skins stuff on the interviews they did with the family in his parent's home. Its really wrong
 
I agree Tom, but the name is not coming back. Ever. That's not me saying it. Harris has said it. It's not coming back so there's no value in our whining about it. It is highly irksome that names and images that are far worse than 'Redskins' ever was continue to be supported. I suspect they'll eventually all be brought down though. Won't make me feel any better.

I'm with Bulldog. They need to flush the whole Commanders brand. Will fans eventually shut up about it if they don't. Probably yes. But it will always leave a bad aftertaste that they went with that ridiculous name and after asking for fan feedback, totally pissed in the fan's faces by ignoring it.

If Harris does not circle back around to what is a very important thing to most fans, I'll be very disappointed in our new owner.
 
I know the name is not coming back. But I can still call them the Skins. And yes they need to get a new name. Ive always thought the best name (joke alert) was what DC is best known for Corruption. Washington Corruption. Just imagine Corruption over comes a 10 point 4th quarter deficit and beats the Giants.....

but give it 30 years and my guess most teams will just be the name of the city. It will become too offensive to some segment of society for almost every name....
 
They should rename Miami the Flippers and on one side of the helmet have a dolphin and other other a pinball machine
 
Awww... Apparently, Daniel's agent didn't feel Washington made his client feel special enough.

Do we have any context on that? I’m curious what is being said other than that one cryptic tweet.
 
I think it’s the fact Daniel’s agent is the one tweeting it with the ‘Hmmm?’ emoji that is getting attention. Why do that? And have to wonder if Daniel’s was griping in the background?

Let’s draft football players and leave the drama behind.

If at the heart of it Daniels and his agent are offended that he looked like a mid round pick until 2023 and Peters graded him that way that’s his problem.
 
Before Daniels character is assassinated consider that the tweet his agent emoji replied to was posted by @DrakeMayeMVP.

Is his agent an apparent moron? Of course. Does his action automatically make his client an immature, self-centered drama queen despite all of the evidence to the contrary?
 
Yeah, I don’t think a lot should be made of it. Hell I thought the group activity stuff was a little goofy, so even if Daniel’s thought it was a little weird. I certainly can’t blame him for that.
 
First off, as Chris said, it’s silly season. 1 week before the draft, all the crazy stories are going to come out now.

Secondly, it’s his agent and not Daniels himself, so I’ll wait for Daniels to say something before I get worked up.

Thirdly, I have considered that maybe Daniels doesn’t feel he did well yesterday and perhaps the agent is going into defense mode. It’s an odd way to do it, but I don’t understand the social media world anyway.

Fourthly, if he is unhappy and it didn’t go well and his agent reacts this way, maybe he’s giving the team the answer they needed. If it’s that close between some of the guys, then all things should be considered.

Lastly, it’s silly season, so despite any thoughts I may have, I’ll write this off like most things I’ll hear leading up to the draft. There may be some legit concerns that arise, but this ain’t it right now.

Finally, I’ll trust this front office and the decision they make.
