I guess all the talk will be about Wentz vs. Hienicke and that's fair, but something happened to make this team completely fall apart after the half. I mean just to start the half with the D giving away a touchdown, the special teams starting with a muff, and the offense going three and out is just ridiculous. After that, if anything it got worse.

Playoff spot implications,measuring stick game...whatever they want to call it and they failed to answer the bell...again.

It gets tiring.

Merry Christmas all. I had a dream last night that Scott Turner was fired. Now, I’m no prophet, so I’m not saying it will happen. But it was still a pleasant thought that I wanted to share. Maybe we will have a Christmas miracle with this team.

I was hoping for a couple of quality offensive lineman in my stocking this morning but I got was a lump of coal, which is fitting.

Good for them. **** Dan Snyder and of course, God forbid Jason Wright and company get 'the Hogs' on board with whatever they plan on doing in advance to ensure it's a success for everyone involved. More bungling and fumbling, something we've grown to expect from 'the Commanders'.
 
I don't know about this one. I may be slightly on Dan's side. Though I love the original Hogs I don't see how they own the name. The name belonged to everyone who played o-line for the team during the glory years. I don't think anyone trademarked it. If anyone "owns" it it's the team. Hell, they didn't even coin the term, that was Bugel.

Not that I don't mind Snyder getting some bad publicity, but I don't think the players are in the right here. Hell, when Gibbs returned the line then tried to call themselves the Hogs again. It just didn't stick (because they weren't good enough.)
 
Legally - no idea. But I don't think that matters. This is a cornerstone piece of the former team's history, and you attempt to orchestrate a celebration of them without first locking down their approval and endorsement? Might be little more than a money grab, but regardless it's a total PR disaster. Which is what the current regime does. We are the Super Bowl champs of ****ing PR up :)

As far as the players, I don't think there are many more intense critics of the name change than the Gibbs-era players. There are some exceptions, but generally the mindset I've heard is 'this isn't our team'. Who are we to begrudge them those sentiments?

True to form,when things on the field start to look bad(winless December) Dan and the PR dept. scramble to bring pieces of the past back to try and smooth things over.
And they never realize that those things no longer work on a very jaded and apathetic fanbase.

Snyder can't sell quick enough.
 
The other amusing thing about this(the Hogs) is Doc Walker trying to turn a buck here when he's fully against the Redskins name.
He had no trouble cashing those Redskins checks or parlaying it into the Redskins Radio sideline reporter or making money off a name that originated with the Redskins...but he's going to run his mouth that he's one of the first to recognize how offensive the name was and one of the first to stop using it.

He's Joe Isuzu.....
 
That’s fair - but Walker is not the only party to this.
 
Jahan Dotson has now tied Terry McLaurin for 2nd all time in recieving TDs by a Rookie WR with 7.
