Random Commanders Thoughts

Yeah, give me some more of that Dline chemistry that couldn't get to Daniel Jones Sunday night.....

Kind of irks me because if he knows on Tuesday he’ll play Saturday you know he could’ve played against the Giants. I can see them saying ‘let’s be cautious so we have him when we really need him’ but unfortunately quite possible that Giants loss will make those games meaningless.

Guarantee you St-Juste said he was good for the Giants game. :redpunch:GRRRR!

Wonder if the hold up on Chase Young is more psychological or physical at this point. I suppose it could be the coaches not wanting to mess up the D-line chemistry (if ain't broke don't fix it, too)
It could be any of the 3 or all 3. But I think it’s psychological. It’s the only one of the 3 that no one can really know but him. If it was physical, like he needs extra treatment after practice or complained of pain, someone would have spilled those beans. Likewise, if the coaches think he will ruin the chemistry, some insider would get it from a coach who couldn’t wait to tell somebody. But we’ve heard nothing, which is why I lean to the psychological side. Anyone who has had a big injury, accident, or anything traumatic knows the next time you do the same thing again, you are tentative. Eventually you get over it or you just never do the thing again. I could see that being the case where he’s still not ready go all out. And the only way he will go all out is by getting on the field in a game. Just my completely uninformed opinion.

I don’t think we’d be hearing leaks from this team - that was Gruden-era BS but this staff doesn’t talk about behind closed door stuff. I can’t think of a single instance of it.

I think it’s probably a combo of all of the above but who knows?

33% passing in the red zone! Hey Scott? Stop passing in the red zone or put Wentz in when we get to the red zone.

With the way they pass block they should've got the Oline a pack of bologna and a bottle of Old English 800.......

Usually, I'm a best player available guy when it comes to the draft, but I sure hope there's a worthy guard. Our middle is not only awful, but oft injured.

I think there was more than a little sarcasm intended on that one ST

They should get old JR on the radio broadcast and do it up...Bah Gawd! That's Chase Young's music!!

I don't expect much out of him...especially if he's been struggling mentally about trusting his body.

Two fairly random thoughts this morning:

1) We had a meaningful December!

2) If Snyder does sell the team and the Commanders make it to the playoffs will that be him going out in style? Could the excitement of making it change his mind or are things already too far advanced? Would it be better or more fitting for him to go out with a whimper?

As to number 2, I think Snyder selling the team is the most important win of the season. Who knows if the next owner will be good, indifferent, or worse? But there is some petty part of me that thinks the narrative will be written wrong if Snyder walks out feeling he was a winner and that the team was on the cusp and he was wronged.

No one links team performance with Snyder any more. Supposedly he’s in exile anyway. I do t see success or failure this season being tied to Snyder at all nor will it be a factor in terms of a team sale imho. I think that snowball is getting bigger every day and can’t be stopped, not even if something crazy happened like a trip to the Super Bowl.

What a tale of two halves. That suggests this game was about coaching not talent.

I guess all the talk will be about Wentz vs. Hienicke and that's fair, but something happened to make this team completely fall apart after the half. I mean just to start the half with the D giving away a touchdown, the special teams starting with a muff, and the offense going three and out is just ridiculous. After that, if anything it got worse.
