Turner's time in DC reminds me of his father's.

'What we do works' is the mantra - while the team is consistently outside the top 15 in most offensive categories and finishes below. 500 in terms of record.

I still think Rivera and his staff with the front office jockeys he hired are an outfit cast for a 7-9 type team in terms of profile.

They hit on enough draft picks and free agents so the team is not downright awful as it was under Gruden those last couple of years, but Rivera is never going to get this team to 11 or 12 wins here no matter how long he stays and no matter whether Snyder remains the owner.

It's my feeling that a Parcells or Reid type coach could get 3 or 4 more wins out of this team than Rivera is likely to get in 2022.

Of course Andy Reid would never have given up multiple picks for Carson Wentz :p
 
Yeah, no one is calling him. Maybe Snyder as a character witness for him, but no one will ask him to play football.
 
Interesting article on ESPN about the Seahawks haul in the draft with all those picks from Denver for Wilson.

Overall they have 5 or 6 draft picks contributing as rookies and another couple of guys with upside that made the 53 man roster. And then there are those picks in 2023 and 2024.

It appears that Denver may have been left holding the bag on an aging quarterback who is not going to elevate them and was not worth the trade compensation.

As with Amari Cooper, perhaps it was a good thing Washington didn't end up as the 'winner' in the trade sweepstakes for Wilson.

I think Seattle is doing it the right way. Use the picks to build a new core. My guess is Schneider will draft a quarterback to grow with the younger players they just selected, he won't be looking to acquire a 30 or 31 year old veteran from another team who's on a big contract.
 
Seattle is doing it the right way and it’s how they built with Wilson previously. The challenge though is in picking the right players. Seattle has done a great job when drafting. It’s always about who you pick and how you can develop those draft picks. That’s where this organization has really failed even with top talent and guys who were considered the right pick.
 
You mean like wasting Jonathan Allen, Terry McLaurin, Montez Sweat, etc. because we can't find a high caliber quarterback or a set of corners that can cover anyone? :devilish:

I love Cooley and all...but, nah. I'm done with that noise.
 
Jesus these are hideous. I must've missed the news that we once again HAD a marching band. Funny how they pretend they didn't get rid of them and only brought them back after the fanbase complained. And someone needs to tell Tanya Snyder - she's no fashion designer.



This is spot on.

 
After a dozen years of marching band, I can honestly say I've worn worse.
 
Those uniforms look like something out of an old James Bond movie.

Just waiting for Snyder to show up dressed like Blofeld at the next home game.

No self awareness as a franchise. Rudderless ship....

It's funny...in one sense,they want to run as far away as they can from the Redskins but then want the alumni to show up to generate good feelings/nostalgia.

Kind of like they want their cake and eat it too. On one hand it's comical .On the other hand it's infuriating.
 
And for anyone thinking 'no matter what they do - it's wrong and fans will hate it'.

It's pretty slim pickings to find anything where I go "oh ya, that's pretty cool" or even just ok

And college. I was in a nationally recognized marching band for 5 years in college. The unis I finished in were amazing but these are so much better than what I had my freshman year. LOL

I also doubt the budget was unlimited. If that were the case, Snyder could afford to fix the plumbing in the damn stadium. :D
 
All the media can talk about is how the Packers folded. Nothing at all about us dominating the second half and how well TH actually looked.
