The Legend
We have seen the Turner show before. If anything Scott Turner objectively has less chance of being successful as HC as his tenure as OC has been less successful and he has no where near the experience his father did when taking the job.
Of course, Norv was a wet blanket and players quickly figured out they could break team rules an get off with slight punishments.
Perhaps Scott has a shorter fuse and would actually try and LEAD the team.
And the other thing we don't know about Scott is how much he has been in on the decisions of the past 3 years and whether he has been simply trying to make chicken salad out of chicken s**t handed to him by Rivera and Rivera's front office mafia.
It will take a LOT to have Rivera fired though. Snyder knows no one of note is going to come here and coach this team right now. Rivera takes a lot of the hits for the organization that the owner would usually have to take. So, in that regard Rivera allows Danny to sit on his yacht and plan his revenge on fellow owners if they try and mess with his play toy.
I hope the stadium issue which the article brings up is the one variable that could cause other owners to act on Snyder doesn't resolve itself and Danny is left with no prime real estate to move the team to in 2027.
I suppose he would then try and move the team to St. Louis or Portland or another city starving for an NFL franchise.
I wonder how that vote would go.
That would be the final act to put Snyder in the Bob Irsay/Art Modell camp where fans of the Colts and Browns hated the memory of these owners and a fan was arrested pissing on Modell's grave in Cleveland last year.
Sounds about right for Snyder.
Then we could get an expansion franchise and a real owner.
