Random Commanders Thoughts

I think this pretty much sums up the league. And yes, The Team is a bad team right now.

Lol, we lost to a team that lost 19 straight games and had an 0-16 season the season prior. (That would be the Lions)

He can be a LB or he can be a Safety for some other team imho. Screw what he 'wants' - guy can't play his favorite position. You're getting paid a ton - so like it or lump it.

Never know he may even excel at it. The secondary just improved drastically regardless

This reminds me of when McNabb refused to wear a wristband. Pretty soon, he wasn't playing and was off the team. If I remember correctly, he said it was an insult to ask him to wear one. Which is funny because I see Brady wearing one, which is one of the many reasons Brady is still getting it done better than McNabb ever did. But back to Collins, this is his way to stay on the field. He is not getting the job done at safety. He could end up being really good, but not if he has the attitude of "That's not who I am so I won't do it".

Now I have hope we actually can do something against Green Bay if Collins sits.

Landon Collins says he's a great linebacker. He doesn't want to play it, but he's really good at it.

This dude isn't getting it. He's lucky he isn't on the bench. He's out here thinking he's doing us a favor somehow!

Scotty's offense will never be anything special. He has no vision as far as big picture goes.

Cooley on Sheehan's pod talked about how Gibbs and Shanahan tried to set things up for later in the game. Scott does none of that.

Cooley's example is that Kyle would say "We're going to run this set of plays to get them into Quarters so that we can hit them with this play". None of that seems to happen with Scotty.

Hell, I'd be happy if he'd just stick to something that works until the other team stops it. (Run the damn ball when your backs are getting 4-5 yds a pop!)

Gibson has a hairline fracture in his shin.

Love the guy, but he's just never fully healthy. We need to sit him and run JD/Patterson for a few weeks.

....if they ever establish a run game.

Quick little piece that says Antonio Golden was only used for 11 snaps the last 2 weeks total. This is some of the shit why I dislike Turner.

Why is this a problem though Win? AGG has had numerous opportunities and hasn't done **** with them. He is truly a practice squad player. Not like we don't have plenty of targets getting the ball every game.

It’s a problem because it’s a habit with Turner. A habit of not utilizing any/all players on offense at his disposal. 11 snaps isn’t exactly numerous opportunities, especially with how banged up the wr’s are at the moment. When you’re repeatedly dressing a hurt Samuel for whatever reason over younger able bodied guys it’s a pattern. It’s the same with Antonio Gibson being nicked up & not using Patterson, he’s only got 9 carries in 6 games. That’s just one of the problems Turner has, and they seem to be multiplying in year 2

Don't know why you'd even go with AGG when Kelvin Harmon has actually shown he can make tough catches in actual games.

Either one at this point would be better than continuously dressing a hurt Samuel.

Deandre Carter had 8 targets w/4 receptions & 62 yards against NO. The next week against the Chiefs, 1 target w/ 0yards

Until Turner figures this out they’re gonna produce the same abysmal games we’ve seen on offense.

So what’s your guys opinion on Heineken so far? Basically at this point would you invest in him some help this off-season or grab the best available QB

Taylor is a solid backup.

Until a genuine NFL starting caliber QB is added to the roster this team will never compete for anything meaningful.

I think he's still a QB who's started 6 games in the NFL. He's making rookie mistakes, but he's flashing. He's got limited arm strenght, and at time's looks like he's trying to hard to put touch. When he throws an out route, sometimes it feels like the ball takes an hour to get outside. He's had multiple interceptions (one today) where the WR was behind the DB going into the endzone and the ball was short. If he gets some more on the ball and puts it on the back pylon, it likely is a different outcome to the play. He's hit Terry on a handful of YOLO balls that worked out... He trusts his WRs at times, but I wonder if he truly trusts himself.

I don't think he's done enough to say he's the guy going forward, but I also want to see what he's got over the next handful of games. I think we're going to see some weaker defenses over the next few games (outside of Tampa), so we may see some more flashes. That said, I think he's locked himself into a role (at a MINIMUM) of a very capable backup. He could have a Colt McCoy type trajectory. 10 years in the league, becomes a favorite of Turner / Rivera, and he likely is on a roster and competing for a job in camps for a while.

30 rushes - 10 including the QB
37 passes

Why are we asking a basically rookie QB to do so much? Gibson and McKissic combined for 18 carries. Where was Patterson?

We went for it on 4th down twice and threw both third and fourth both times. I'm at a loss..
