Rivera wants Heinicke to be "more of a game manager because bad things happen"

I really wish he'd talk to Scott more than worry about the kid who's fast and being handicapped by terrible play calls. But, it makes me worry that maybe he doesn't think Turner is the issue and that scares me.

I think Gibson and Patterson need to stick to Turner like glue during the week of practice. Like whenever Turner turns around those 2 are like the grudge kids coming out of his hair. Maybe that way he’ll call more f’n runs for them.
 
Tua ha been worse than Heinicke and Allen. Why give up any assets for a guy that is worse than who you have and is a huge injury risk.
 
I was ranting last night regarding ‘how will this team ever find a franchise QBThis would be the kind of Hail Mary that rarely works out.

To be fair, I haven’t watch a down of Tua in Miami. His stats last year looked promising, but not sure he’s an NFL QB. If the Dolphins did do a deal for Watson, they won’t get anything like a 2nd for him. Zero leverage at that point.

But If we could get him for chump change why not roll the dice?
 
Is Hurts a fair comparison for Tua. Any CFB aficionados have an opinion?

He was successful at Alabama but everyone is.

We already have Kyle Allen for the position.
 
Tua's not the answer. If he was all that and a bag of chips Miami wouldn't be trying to get out from under him....if the rumor is even true, which seems to be on very shaky ground,imo.

Team's don't give up on young,potential franchise Qb's that easily.

BTW,Kyle Allen isn't the answer either.
 
Taylor is the answer. He just needs a playbook that is designed for him and to allow him to play his game.

Asking him to be an Alex Smith is stupid. He doesn't need to manage games..we barely score as is. He needs to use his feet, roll out, get to do what he does best.
 
This team is always mentioned in trade or FA rumors, it’s just the way of things. “IF” by chance in hell it’s true then the front office needs crazy pills for even entertaining it
 
They also need more of the run game and play action. I don’t know if Heinicke can’t play action well, but it seems like most of the time it’s a token play action that fools no one.
 
We've always ran the screen well, but for some reason we run it once and never again.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think Ron wants Taylor to morph into Alex Smith.

I just think he wants Taylor to realize that when you're down in the game, you can't get it all back on one throw......and last Sunday, that's exactly what he was doing.
 
When you go 3 passes and a punt series after series you start thinking you need to.

Taylor is trying to provide a spark to get the O and D excited. Ron wants him to stop that. Scott is calling plays to force it to stop.
 
I agree it’s the kind of rumor that usually proves to be nonsense. It’s not often, but teams DO let drafted guys go only to see them thrive elsewhere. Ever hear of Drew Brees? Ryan Tannehill. Hell, even Peyton Manning made the Colts look pretty stupid. Jamies Winston may turn out to be another one.

I doubt seriously Miami has decided after less than a season of film to give up on Tua, but it’s too early to say he can’t be a good one no matter how he’s looked so far.
