Random Commanders Thoughts

I wonder which players were the ones getting Rivera's attention, and whether they are still on this roster?

Someone speculated Guice was one... wouldn't shock me if Haskins was in that camp too

It means this team has something we haven't had in a long time. An identity.

Defensively driven, control the line of scrimmage and beat your head in.

Now we establish an identity on the offensive side and we're cookin with fire.

I think the bottom part of "long term deals will be either Payne or Allen due to needing money for both Sweat and Young" means just as much.

We will need to make sure Ionnidas is healthy and Settle has come up to the same level.

You can't keep everyone. Personally I am not in favor of a cap to begin with, but since it is a reality of life teams can only spend so many dollars on one unit on the team.

From a sober perspective I think you have to look at the team being able to support THREE big contracts on the defensive front.

To me that means Chase Young, Sweat and the either of Allen/Payne.

You are also going to lose some guys like Settle that are not getting much playing time and will want to hit free agency as much to go to a team where they will get a chance to start/play more as much as hit it big on the contract dollars.

Sorry to make light of the name but Camaron Cheeseman?

Sounds like a name from a movie like Porky's or one of the Ron Burgundy comedies :p

Rumor right now is we are looking to sign Tre Boston.

I think from the draft picks who can play safety (including the third rounder St. Juste) and now this rumor on Boston shows that Ron Rivera is not necessarily counting on Landon Collins going forward.

I don't think we can afford to release him until next spring but even apart from the contract perhaps he is not near 100% from a serious injury and may start out on PUP.

Fat dude who couldn't stop sighing and being an ass is 99% of the reasons why I don't watch these kinds of shows.

None of the media love we see starting to filter our way means a damn thing on the field, of course ... things could still go sideways and 2021 be yet another disappointment. But I gotta say, it's a damn sight more fun to hear them throwing love our way than the mockery or disdain we've seen for the better part of a generation.

What is annoying is seeing Greenberg spend 15 minutes about the Jets draft to a national audience (not local to NY) when we had stories about the Champion Bucs resigning key players and the Chiefs revamping their offensive line for the best qb in the NFL.

My family is from NY. Trust me NOBODY cares about the Jets. The Giants own the market and who they take in Round 3 is more important to most fans than who the Jets take at #2 or 3 overall 👻👻👻👻
