Random Commanders Thoughts

Ziggy's story is a little more than just making the final 53, hope he gets over the hump and has a great year.

ASHBURN, Va. -- Emotion overwhelmed Washington Redskins defensive lineman Ziggy Hood as he thought about his son’s smile. It’s not just a simple gesture for his son; it represents a moment others might take for granted. Hood dabbed at his eyes and lowered his head, ignoring teammates walking past him after a training camp practice in Richmond.

FYI my choice of sports programming is between GB/Jags and "Real Green". What is that you ask, well it's a stupid ass series about alternative energy, bleh.

I love Alaska but damn they cannot program their tv stations for shit.

I can't imagine there's a dense demographic there. They're probably surprised they're even getting pings in Chuqiak, Alaska. :biggrin2:

Ha, well they do show the afternoon games but only one of the morning ones. We get some stupid shit like lacrosse or rodeos.

As @PSchrags alluded, Cleveland source says Browns' QB RGIII has a "potentially serious" shoulder injury. Testing today.

Thank you Jay Gruden.

The @Browns have placed #RGIII on IR and the earliest he can return is Week 10 against the NYG

Ho. ly. Crap.

He has no concept of protecting his body.

Nope. I can't believe he leaned into that hit. Kid hasn't learned a damn thing.

Didn't ever believe he had a chance to make it to week 4.

But week 1 seems early.

It's a sad story, he had a chance to be good if he ever learned how to protect himself.

Same cycle. Missing all the time he needs to mature as a QB. Unfortunate all the way around.

I was watching when it happened. Honestly not sure what he could have done much different. He was headed out of of bounds. He appeared to me to try to cover up with his left arm but I think that is what got him in trouble.

On a side note, I could do a better job of commentating. RGIII's body language clearly said there was an issue with is left arm/shoulder and yet the guys calling the game were talking about ribs and chest. Idiots.

I didn't see it Live, but on replay it looks like he could have step out of bounds after he made it past the first 2 Eagles and before he got to the third. I wonder if in his head he was thinking about trying to cut it back to get the first down just a few yards away and just froze.

My brother & I had been talking about this before it even happened; we knew that if he could actually make it to week 4, we were probably going to end his season. Not surprised at all by this. It's too bad because he's got skills.

Watching a little bit of the seahags game I really noticed how Wilson doesn't take hits. Dude slides or steps out of bounds every time & NEVER takes direct hits.

It is very possible he was looking for the 1st down marker and pushed his luck.
