So it seems the team is moving Murphy back to lb since Daniel's shoulder injury. Hope he finds a spot to settle but I'd bet his whole tenure will be wtf to do with him.

Same thought here. I'd hoped the early returns on his move to the DL would be "damn skippy, this new improved bigger stronger Murph is a potential difference-maker at DE." Instead they were kinda "yawn." And now they're moving the bigger stronger Murph back to OLB where he wasn't flexible or quick or fluid enough to be effective in the first place. If I had to bet now, I'd think his career is going to be as a situational rotation guy until a younger, faster model comes along.

Which kinda sucks, not just because he was a high draft pick, but because I was intrigued by his story and apparent beastliness from day one.

Instead of moving Trent Murphy back to OLB from DE, I would have considered making a move outside the organization for a veteran OLB.

Murphy is never going to be more than average standing up in a 3-4 and after spending a #2 pick on him, one would think the team needs to see if he can be a viable option at DE, especially given that outside of Chris Baker we don't have anyone up front that really gets the attention of offensive coordinators.

Thought the exact same thing. He could really be a beast or Scot could be looking for a trade. The mind games of a competent GM. This is unusual territory that we haven't seen in a long time.

Thing is, if we trade the guy, who do we then have to backup OT ?
It's not like we're bustling with depth there.

Heck with trading Ty, move Trent to C and let Ty hold LT.

I wouldn't move Trent anywhere. He's an elite LT, I keep him right where he is and head into the season with a legit backup in Ty at either tackle spot. It's a long season.

What are everyone's thoughts on the Normal deal with FOX?

For me, I don't see it as a big deal at all. If he isn't able to focus on the game because he has a few minute convo on FOX every week, then he isn't the CB we all thought he was. I guess people think he should be more focused on his job. But I'd like to ask those people if they only discuss work at work and if they ever take any personal calls/emails/texts throughout the day or if they surf the internet.
