Random Commanders Thoughts

All the talk about facing weak defenses.

I don't see Dallas or the Eagles being any better in 2016 on that side of the ball and the Giants are in the process of cobbling together a unit with 5 or 6 new starters. Continuity will take time.

So Kirk is likely to put up good numbers again in those 6 division games this time around.

Can't blame him for the state of other teams.

Aaron Rodgers gets to take advantage of some historically bad defenses in Chicago and Detroit twice a year too. While Minnesota just recently improved under Zimmer. They were weak for a long time as well.

That's why having him do a "prove it" year before we make him a gazillionaire is the only way to go.

He will face better competition.
Teams now have a whole year of film, and an offseason to prepare.

If he flops, the franchise tag was a brilliant move.
But if he lights it up, he's a suitor. And, bonafide. Worthy of the top dollar he will receive.

I'm hoping Killi takes a huge jump under Callahan's tutelage....similar to what Moses did. If he and Long end up starters our I-line is young, good and set for a few years.

I can't wait to see who #7 is.
Well, had I not been rectocranially inverted yesterday and remembered, it would have been this guy:

Today, I'm getting this done early.

Redskins Training Camp 2016 in this many days:

And yes, that is Shane Matthews. It was him, Tommy Barnhardt or Ali Haji-Sheikh. :paranoid:

I got a good 5 if we need it. :)

McCloughan was not going to get stampeded into making a deal just because the Texans' owner acted like a dumb ass in handing out almost $40M in guarantees for a guy that has been mostly a backup in Brock Osweiler.

Some talking heads were saying that if Brock got $40M than Cousins should get $60M.

Except for one small problem.

Osweiler's deal is not a benchmark for experienced GMs who look around at what frontline qbs are making and don't buy into the hype.

Pressed to the glass I bet McCloughan would say he would rather go back into the draft and take a 22 year old that he scouted than pay Cousins before he shows he can play off script and be the kind of qb to make plays on his own when things break down.

Watching NFLN and showed the 2015 Skins highlights. Man Jordan Reed was ridiculously good for us. Gonna be a major headache for defensive coordinators this season.

Ok, so with a last-second line-up change, I submit that the Redskins Training Camp 2016 starts in this many days:

Sorry, Jeff.

So the bell suspension broke and on ESPN they were talking about impact during the first 4 games and the graphic had which teams made the playoffs in 2015, next to us, it said no, I wished I'd have had time to screen shot it.

Update: Elliott has denied the claims, and the NFL's league office is now investigating the allegations.
